Tropical Night (EP)
''Tropical Night'' is an extended play (EP) marketed as the seventh single of Japanese boy group JO1, featuring the lead track "Tiger". It also served as the second single of their third studio album, ''Equinox'' (2023). Consisting a total of six songs and two instrumental versions, the EP single was released into four editions on April 5, 2023. It features the group's frequent collaborators such as Jung Ho-hyun, 1by1, Nmore, and Poptime, and first collaboration EDM artist Asher Postman. The EP single also includes the Japan Record Excellent Work Award winner "Trigger" as well as "We Good" and "Romance", theme songs of television series ' and ''Blue Birthday'', starring members Syoya Kimata and Shion Tsurubo, respectively. ''Equinox'' (stylized in all caps) is the third studio album by Japanese boy band JO1. It includes songs from their previous EP releases, ''Midnight Sun'' and ''Tropical Night''. Lapone Entertainment released the album in five editions on September 20, 2023, with "Venus" and "Radiovision" serving as the main promotional singles. It is the group's first release with unit songs and digipack packaging. Notable contributors include Sunwoo of The Boyz, Masami Kakinuma, and members of JO1.
