Travis Janssen
Travis Janssen is an American college baseball coach and former second baseman who is the head baseball coach at Oxford High School. Janssen played college baseball at New Mexico State from 1995 to 1996, before playing professionally. He then served as the head coach of the Northeastern State (2012–2015) and the Austin Peay Governors (2016–2022). Playing career Janssen attended Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kansas. Janssen was on the second ever Manhattan baseball team, and helped lead the team to a state championship as a senior in 1992. Janssen then committed to Butler Community College, where he was a member of the Butler Grizzles baseball team. After two seasons at Butler, Janssen transferred to New Mexico State University where he continued his baseball career. Falmouth Commodores
The Falmouth Commodores are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. The Commodores play their home games at Arnie Allen Diamond at Guv Fuller Field in Falmouth. The Commodores most recently won the CCBL championship in 1980 when they defeated the Chatham A's in the championship series. 2017 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament
The 2017 Ohio Valley Conference baseball tournament will be held from May 24 through 28. The top six regular season finishers will meet in the double-elimination tournament, to be held at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. The tournament champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Among current members, Austin Peay has won the most championships, with six, while Belmont (joined in 2012), SIU Edwardsville (joined in 2008),and Tennessee–Martin (joined in 1992) have never won championships. The Tournament began in 1979. Seeding and format The top six regular season finishers will be seeded by conference winning percentage. Teams will then play a double-elimination tournament, with the top two seeds receiving a single bye. The Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. It participates in Division I of the NCAA; the conference's football programs compete in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS; formerly known as Division I-AA), the lower of two levels of Division I football competition. Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association
The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Its fourteen member institutions, located in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, include twelve public and two private schools. The MIAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Missouri. Originally named the Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the conference was established in 1912 with 14 members, two of which are still current members.
