Transmute (album)
''Transmute'' is the third and final album by English alternative rock band Press to Meco. Released on 20 August 2021 through Marshall Records, the record is the band's only album with bassist/vocalist Jake Crawford. Background and recording Work on a new album initially began in 2019 with the writing and recording of the song, "Easy Life" and a rough demo of eventual lead single, "Another Day". The band originally planned to work on songs gradually over a loose timeframe to build an album up in stages but plans to work this way were eventually scrapped in favour of working on the album as a whole. The band then aimed on stepping into the studio with Richard Craker, who had handled the production of "Easy Life" – which was released as a standalone single on 19 September 2019 – and their ''Acoustic'' EP, but this arrangement would ultimately encounter logistical problems, and plans to work together fell apart. Press To Meco
Press to Meco (sometimes stylised as Press to MECO) was an English band hailing from Crawley and Croydon. The band was known for its fusing of intricate riffs, progressive sensibilities, math-influenced structures, pop choruses and three-part harmonies. History 2009–2014: Career beginnings, early EPs and Download appearances Press to Meco was formed in 2009 by Luke Caley (guitar/vocals), Mitch Mansfield (bass/vocals) and Doug Ryrie (drums/vocals). Their first gig took place in early 2009 at the final of the Crawley battle of the bands competition, having won the previous year under the name ADHD. The members would go on to change in 2011 with Lewis Williams taking over drums and Adam Roffey rounding out the lineup on bass. ACODA
ACODA are a Four-piece alternative rock band from Corby, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom. Formed in 2008, the band consists of vocalist/guitarist Damon Tang, bassist/vocalist Stephen Crook, guitarist/vocalist Jake Crawford and drummer/vocalist Jay Russell. The band are known for their energetic and emotive live shows and blending the musical influences of rock, metal, punk rock, progressive metal and post-hardcore. They were named in the top 10 best unsigned UK bands by ''Kerrang!'' magazine in September 2011.
