Traditions Of The École Polytechnique
The traditions of the École polytechnique, École Polytechnique mostly originated during the militarization of the school by Napoleon, Napoleon I in 1804. They are constantly evolving, except for the loss of some traditions between 1968 and 1985. These various traditions shape the school and influence its representation in the collective imagination in France.
