Torstein Ellingsen
Torstein Ellingsen (born 7 August 1966) is a Norwegian drummer and music producer, known from a series of album recordings. Career Ellingsen was born in Oslo and started his career playing in his older brother's band The Royal Rakes Jazzband (1980), collaborated within Christiania Jazzband (1981), and was a part of "Caledonia Jazzband" (1982–1998), with The Real Thing (1995–1998 og 2010–2014), with Magnolia Jazzband (from 1999), and with his Danish wife and singer Majken Christiansen (from 2001). Ellingsen lead his own band The Sinatra Songbook (from 1999) along with jazz singer Ingar Kristiansen. He plays in these bands: Prima Vista Social Club, Rubber Soul Quartet and Gigaphonics. He has also recorded albums with Paul Wagnberg Trio, Rune Nicolaysen Trio, Anders Aarum Trio, Tor Einar Bekken, Sandvika Storband, Ola Kvernberg, Harald Bergersen, Anne Marte Slinning and Jan Werner. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. The Royal Academy of Music (Danish: ''Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium'') in Aarhus and Aalborg, Denmark, is a conservatoire and state institution under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Culture, charged with responsibility for the further education courses in music, and for otherwise contributing to the promotion of musical culture in Denmark. __NOTOC__ Curling Legs Productions A/S (established 1992 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian record label with a catalogue encompassing all styles of jazz and improvised music. It was started by Knut Værnes and Morten Halle to release their own music. In 1994, Odin Records was licensed to Curling Legs from the Norwegian Jazz Forum, to continue the production of Norwegian jazz. In addition to Værnes and Halle, the third co-owner of Curling Legs is Helge Westbye, the director of the record label Grappa Music, and the label is part of FONO. The music is distributed through the company Musikkoperatørene. By the time of their fiftieth issue, on 3 May 1999, Curling Legs had won Spellemannprisen four times.
