Alma Viktoria "Tora" Larsson (12 March 1891 – 1 September 1919) was a Swedish diver. She competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics and finished eighth in the 10 m platform event. Kristinehamn
Kristinehamn is a locality and the seat of Kristinehamn Municipality, Värmland County, Sweden, with 24,053 inhabitants in 2022. Geography Kristinehamn is situated by the shores of lake Vänern where the small rivers ''Varnan'' and ''Löt'' drain into the lake. It has a harbour and is a railroad and road transportation center. Nearby towns include Karlskoga and Karlstad and are located exactly in the middle of Oslo, Stockholm and Gothenburg with 250 km to each of them. History The location has had a resident population for centuries, at least since the Stone Age. The town was then built alongside the bridge over river Varnan. Its name was ''Broo'' (or Bro) until 1642, and "Bro" literally means "Bridge" in Swedish. Stockholms Kappsimningsklubb, commonly known as Stockholms KK or SKK, is a Swedish swimming club from Stockholm founded on 12 July 1895, who competes in swimming and water polo. Diving is the sport of jumping or falling into water from a Diving platform, platform or springboard, usually while performing acrobatics. The 1912 Summer Olympics (), officially known as the Games of the V Olympiad () and commonly known as Stockholm 1912, were an international multi-sport event held in Stockholm, Sweden, between 6 July and 22 July 1912. The opening ceremony was held on 6 July. Twenty-eight nations and 2,408 competitors, including 48 women, competed in 102 events in 14 sports. With the exception of tennis (starting on 5 May) and football and shooting (both starting on 29 June), the games were held within a month with an official opening on 6 July. It was the last Olympics to issue solid gold medals and, with Japan at the 1912 Summer Olympics, Japan's debut, the first time an official team from an Asian nation participated. The women's 10 metre platform, also known as ''high (plain) diving for ladies'' competition, was one of four diving (sport), diving events on the diving at the 1912 Summer Olympics programme. It was the first diving event for women at the Summer Olympic Games. The competition was held from Wednesday 10 July 1912, to Saturday 13 July 1912. Fourteen divers from three nations competed. Results The competition was actually held from both 10 metre and 5 metre platforms. Divers performed a standing plain dive and a running plain dive from the 10 metre platform, a running plain dive and a backward somersault from the 5 metre platform, and three dives of the competitor's choice from the 10 metre platform. Five judges scored each diver, giving two results. Each judge gave an ordinal placing for each diver in a group, with the five scores being summed to give a total ordinal points score.
