Pieter Timmers
Pieter Timmers (born 21 January 1988) is a Belgian retired competitive swimmer who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He won the silver medal in the 100 meter freestyle at the 2016 Olympics. Timmers currently holds nine Belgian records, and seven national titles in long and short course freestyle (50, 100, and 200). Timmers is a resident athlete for Brabo Antwerp, and trains under his personal coach Ronald Gaastra. He stands , and weighs . Ron Timmers
Ron Timmers (born 11 August 1973) is a Dutch former footballer and current manager who is the head coach of IFC. He is a resident of Heer Oudelands Ambacht, Zwijndrecht. Football career Timmers played professionally in FC Dordrecht and Sparta Rotterdam. On 24 November 1985, in the 1985–86 KNVB Cup, he scored the first equalizer for FC Dordrecht, in a game that Dordrecht lost 3–2 to RBC Roosendaal. Since 2000 Timmers coached Sliedrecht, SVW, Rijsoord, Groote Lindt, Leonidas, VV Nieuwerkerk, and Zwaluwen (2010–2011). In 2011 he became chief coach of ASWH, and in 2013 Timmers moved on to VV Dongen, also in the Hoofdklasse. In 2016 he led Dongen to a Hoofdklasse championship after which the club promoted to Derde Divisie. In 2017 Dongen under Timmers ended third in Derde Divisie and participated in the qualification rounds for the Tweede Divisie. Leo Timmers
Leo Timmers (born 1970) is a Belgian children's book writer and illustrator. He started creating comics when he was 8 or 9 years old, and self-published one of them a few years later. He studied graphic design and published his first real book, ''Blij met mij'', in 2000. His 2019 book ''Monkey on the Run'' was listed as one of the 10 best illustrated books of the year by the New York Times. In 2022, ''Elephant Island'' was listed as one of the 10 best children's books of the year by the New York Times. His works have been translated in at least 25 languages. Two of his works have been turned into animated series: ''Ziggy and the zootram'' and ''Derek the Deep-Sea Doctor''.
