Thomas J. Anderson (judge)
Thomas J. Anderson (March 4, 1837 – April 13, 1910) was a justice of the Territorial Utah Supreme Court from 1889 to 1893.Clifford L. On August 15, 1862, he joined the Union Army to serve in the American Civil War, achieving the rank of major and serving as a judge advocate general. Sawtelle is a district in the Westside of the city of Los Angeles, California, partially within the West Los Angeles subregion. It was established in 1899 and named after a manager of the Pacific Land Company who was initially responsible for its development and promotion. Sawtelle is noted for its thriving Japanese American community, busy restaurants and arthouse movie theaters. It has strong roots in Japanese-American history. Jacob (; ; ar, يَعْقُوب, Yaʿqūb; gr, Ἰακώβ, Iakṓb), later given the name Israel, is regarded as a patriarch of the Israelites and is an important figure in Abrahamic religions, such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Jacob first appears in the Book of Genesis, where he is described as the son of Isaac and Rebecca, and the grandson of Abraham, Sarah, and Bethuel.
