Thomas Black is a former Irish record label executive and TV personality. He worked at EMI Records Ireland as A&R director, where he signed artists like Relish, Aslan, Cathy Davey and John Spillane. He previously worked for Sony Records in the same position, signing The 4 of Us and Cry Before Dawn to the label. Black was one of the three judges on the TV talent show ''You're a Star'' where he discovered and championed Dublin band 21 DEMANDS who made Irish chart history by becoming the first unsigned artist to achieve a number one single, the band subsequently changed their name to Kodaline, signing to Sony Records. The Hon. Thomas Reuben Black (16 October 1832 – 14 September 1905) was a Canadian politician, senator and farmer from Amherst, Nova Scotia. Black was educated at Amherst Academy and purchased the family farm where he was an innovative and progressive manager. He also acquired real estate in his home town demonstrating his commitment to the area. In 1860, he married Eunice, the daughter of William W. Bent, a former Nova Scotia MLA. Black left farming in the 1880s to become involved in politics. He was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for Cumberland County in 1884 in a by-election held after Charles James Townshend was elected to the House of Commons. He was re-elected in 1886, then was defeated in 1890. Black was then elected again in 1894, 1897 and 1901. In 1896, he served as a minister without portfolio in the provincial cabinet. Tom Campbell Black
Tom Campbell Black (December 1899 – 19 September 1936) was an English aviator. He was the son of Alice Jean McCullough and Hugh Milner Black. He became a world-famous aviator when he and C. W. A. Scott won the London to Melbourne Centenary Air Race in 1934. Early years Tom Campbell Black attended Brighton College and the records for the period summer 1915 to summer 1917 indicate that he entered Hampden House, May 1915, was appointed House Prefect, January 1917 and played Second XI Football, 1915 to 1916 and 1916 to 1917. Campbell Black attended Army Class II and entered the RN College at Greenwich and attained a commission in the R.N.A.S. (Naval Air Service). He served first as a pilot in the Naval Air Service and later in the RAF during the Great War, rising to the rank of captain. Arriving in Africa as a soldier settler in 1922, he joined his brother, Frank Milner Black, who had been stationed as a soldier in Kenya and decommissioned in 1920.

Thomas Robert Black (born 26 November 1979) is an English former footballer. He played for multiple clubs in the Football League, making over 100 appearances for Crystal Palace at Championship level. Club career Black began his career with Arsenal as a trainee, where he played alongside his older brother Michael. He was a regular in Arsenal's 1998 FA Premier Youth League-winning side, and was later sent out on loan twice for one month with Carlisle United and for a month with Bristol City. He made just two first team appearances for Arsenal, one in the League Cup against Middlesbrough on 30 November 1999 which Arsenal lost on penalties, and the other in the Premier League in a 1–0 win against Everton on 29 April 2000.
