The Plot (band)
The Plot was a hard rock, heavy rock band formed in 2003 by bassist Pete Way and his long-time friend, guitarist Michael Schenker. The two wanted to form a band like UFO (band), UFO again and asked Phil Mogg and Andy Parker (musician), Andy Parker to regroup with them, but tension was still fiery between the ex-bandmates, although Way, Schenker and Mogg had been involved in recording as UFO for the album ''Sharks (album), Sharks'' in 2002. So instead, Way and Schenker recruited drummer Jeff Martin (American musician), Jeff Martin. This band released one album, also entitled ''The Plot'' with Way on lead vocals "We decided to release ''The Plot'' at this time for several reasons. A bootleg of ''The Plot'' was becoming very available throughout the world. We wanted to get the proper version out there before it was too late. It is great finally see this record released. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a heavier subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and Distortion (music), distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the Garage rock, garage, Psychedelic rock, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Pete Way
Peter Frederick Way (7 August 1950 – 14 August 2020) was an English bassist. He was the co-founder and original bassist of the rock band UFO from 1968 to 1982; he briefly rejoined the band in 1988–1989 and full-time from 1991 to 2008. He was also a founding member of Waysted and Fastway and notably played with Michael Schenker Group and Ozzy Osbourne. Career Pete Way grew up in Enfield, London. He started playing bass guitar in bands with friends from high school. He and guitarist Mick Bolton became friends and they and a drummer formed their first serious band, The Boyfriends. After high school, Way left home at 17 and worked at a maritime insurance company and as a civil servant in the Ministry of Defence. Michael Schenker
Michael Schenker (born 10 January 1955) is a German guitarist. He played in the rock band UFO and leads the Michael Schenker Group (MSG). He was an early member of the hard rock band Scorpions, a band co-founded by his elder brother Rudolf Schenker. In the mid-1970s, Schenker joined UFO, playing lead and rhythm guitar. He left the band in 1978 to briefly rejoin Scorpions for the recording of '' Lovedrive'', and then to form MSG. He has rejoined UFO three times, producing an album each time. Schenker continues to perform and record. He is regarded as one of the most influential guitarists of the 1970s, and has been called "a legendary figure in the history of metal guitar." UFO (band)
UFO were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. They became a transitional group between early hard rock and heavy metal and the new wave of British heavy metal. The band's final lineup consisted of vocalist Phil Mogg, lead guitarist Vinnie Moore, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Neil Carter, bass guitarist Rob De Luca, and drummer Andy Parker. They had gone through several line-up changes, leaving Mogg as the only constant member, and had disbanded three times (first between April 1983 and October 1984, second from 1989 to 1991 and third in 2024). The band's classic line-up comprised Mogg, Parker, bassist Pete Way, keyboardist Paul Raymond and former Scorpions guitarist Michael Schenker. Andy Parker (musician)
Andrew Maynard Parker (born 21 March 1952) is a British drummer best known as a founding member and drummer of the hard rock band UFO. Career In mid-1969 he met Phil Mogg, Pete Way and Mick Bolton, who had a band called Hocus Pocus and were looking for a new drummer. Parker auditioned and got the job. Soon after, the band renamed, becoming UFO. UFO signed with the Beacon Records label. Parker was unable to sign the contract at the time, as he was only 17. His parents refused to sign for him, and he had to wait until his 18th birthday to sign. Later, as UFO was gaining momentum, Parker and Mogg started having "run-ins" with Bolton and fired him shortly after. Parker, Mogg, and Way then needed a guitarist and recruited German future virtuoso Michael Schenker. Jeff Martin (American Musician)
Jeffery Louis Martin is an American singer and drummer who has sung for the rock bands Racer X, Bad Dog, Surgical Steel and St. Michael and played drums for the bands Badlands, the Michael Schenker Group, Blindside Blues Band, Red Sea, St. Michael and The Electric Fence, a side project with Paul Gilbert and Russ Parrish. Jeff Martin played drums for Paul Gilbert, George Lynch, Dokken, and P.K. Mitchell. Jeff became the new drummer of the Greg Golden Band in February 2023. Martin played drums in Surgical Steel before switching to lead vocals and was the drummer/lead vocalist for St. Michael, both of these being Phoenix, AZ-based bands that also featured his future Badlands bandmate Greg Chaisson.
