The Osborne
The Osborne, also known as the Osborne Apartments or 205 West 57th Street, is an apartment building at Seventh Avenue (Manhattan), Seventh Avenue and 57th Street (Manhattan), 57th Street in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City, New York, U.S. The original portion of the Osborne was designed by James Edward Ware and constructed from 1883 to 1885. An annex to the west, designed by Alfredo S. G. Taylor, Alfred S. G. Taylor and Julian Clarence Levi, was constructed in 1906. The Osborne is one of the oldest extant luxury apartment buildings in New York City. The Osborne's facade is clad in Rustication (architecture), rusticated blocks of brownstone, with a main entrance on 57th Street and a variety of window configurations. 218 West 57th Street (also known as 220 West 57th Street; formerly known as the Society House of the American Society of Civil Engineers or the ASCE Society House) is a building on 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. It was designed by Cyrus L. W. Eidlitz in the French Renaissance Revival style, with an annex built to designs by Eidlitz and Andrew C. McKenzie. The building served as the headquarters of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) from 1897 to 1917. 218 West 57th Street is four stories tall, with a basement, though the top two stories only cover a portion of the site. Saint Thomas Choir School
Saint Thomas Choir School is an all-boys boarding school located in Manhattan, New York, dedicated to the education and training of approximately 30 choirboys from ages 8 to 14. It is one of three all-boarding, all-boys choral schools in the world (the other two being Westminster Abbey Choir School in England and Escolania de Montserrat in Spain).
