The Moose Hunt
''The Moose Hunt'' is a Mickey Mouse short animated film first released on April 30, 1931, as part of the ''Mickey Mouse (film series), Mickey Mouse'' film series. It was the twenty-eighth Mickey Mouse short to be produced and the fourth of that year. This is the first cartoon to feature Pluto (Disney), Pluto as Mickey's pet – in his previous appearance, 1930's ''The Picnic (1930 film), The Picnic'', he was called "Rover" and lived with Minnie Mouse. The cartoon is dominated by Pluto's antics, he gets a minute and a half of solo screen time. Pluto speaks three times in the cartoon – crying "Mammy!", telling Mickey to "Kiss me!" and pointing out "The moose!" Burt Gillett
Burton F. Gillett (October 15, 1891 – December 28, 1971) was a Film director, director of animation, animated films. He is noted for his Silly Symphonies work for Walt Disney Pictures, Disney, particularly the 1932 short film ''Flowers and Trees'' and the 1933 short film ''Three Little Pigs (film), Three Little Pigs'', both of which were awarded the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film and both of which were selected for inclusion in the National Film Registry. Early life He was born in Elmira, New York. His animation career started around 1916 when he was employed by the International Film Service, an early animation studio under the ownership of William Randolph Hearst and the supervision of Gregory La Cava. Walt Disney Treasures is a series of two-disc DVD collections of Disney cartoons, television episodes and other material. They cover material from the studio's earliest days to its more recent work. There were nine waves, each containing two to four sets, for a total of 30 titles. ''The Mickey Mouse Club'' is an American variety television show that aired intermittently from 1955 to 1996 and briefly returned to social media in 2017. Created by Walt Disney and produced by Walt Disney Productions, the program was first televised for four seasons, from 1955 to 1959, by ABC. ''The Film Daily'' was a daily publication that existed from 1918 to 1970 in the United States. It was the first daily newspaper published solely for the film industry. It covered the latest trade news, film reviews, financial updates, information on court cases and union difficulties, and equipment breakthroughs.
