The Hartlewick Horror
''The Hartlewick Horror'' is an adventure published by FASA in 1985 for '' The Doctor Who Role Playing Game'', itself based on the long-running BBC television series ''Doctor Who''. Plot summary The player characters, usually consisting of one or more Time Lords and their Companions, are sent to Earth in 1923 by the Celestial Intervention Agency to investigate a large energy field centred on the English village of Hartlewick, where a number of people have recently disappeared at night. The characters will eventually discover an ancient alien imprisoned underground who is using its telepathic powers to force the local villagers and an archaeologist to free it. Pregenerated characters are provided for the Fourth Doctor, and his well-known companions Leela, Sarah Jane Smith, and Harry Sullivan. Harry Sullivan (Doctor Who)
Harry Sullivan is a fictional character from the British science-fiction television series ''Doctor Who'' and is a companion of the Fourth Doctor. Played by Ian Marter, the character appears as a regular during the programme's twelfth season in 1974–1975. Harry appeared in 7 stories (27 episodes). The renegade Time Lord is threatening the fabric of time by blunting the Romans' invasion, kidnapping Vespasian and sending assassins to kill Claudius. Ray Winninger is a game designer who has worked on a number of roleplaying games, including the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy roleplaying game. He is the former Executive Producer for the Wizards of the Coast ''Dungeons & Dragons'' studio. Career Ray Winninger was a competitive chess player as a child, and at age nine he discovered Avalon Hill games and ''Dungeons & Dragons'' while looking for chess opponents at a local hobby shop/game store. Leela is a fictional character played by Louise Jameson in the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Fourth Doctor
The Fourth Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. He is portrayed by Tom Baker.
