Terrorizer is an American grindcore band from Los Angeles, California. It was originally formed in 1985 as Unknown Death by vocalist Oscar Garcia and guitarist Jesse Pintado. They would rename themselves Terrorizer after recruiting drummer Pete Sandoval, who remains the band's sole constant member throughout their discography, in 1986. The band's current lineup consists of Sandoval, bassist David Vincent, vocalist Brian Werner and guitarist Richie Brown. They are currently signed to Earache Records. Terrorizer struggled to find success during their initial existence, and would disband in 1988 after Sandoval left to join Morbid Angel. They were briefly regrouped by David Vincent to record their highly influential debut album ''World Downfall'' (1989), before they split up again later that year when Pintado left to join Napalm Death. In 2005, Pintado and Sandoval reformed Terrorizer without Garcia, recording and released their second album ''Darker Days Ahead'' in 2006. Terrorize ... Death-grind
Grindcore is an extreme fusion genre of heavy metal and hardcore punk that originated in the mid-1980s, drawing inspiration from abrasive-sounding musical styles, such as thrashcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, extreme metal, and industrial. Grindcore is considered a more noise-filled style of hardcore punk while using hardcore's trademark characteristics such as heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdriven bass, high-speed tempo, blast beats, and vocals which consist of growls, shouts and high-pitched shrieks. World Downfall
''World Downfall'' is the debut album by American grindcore band Terrorizer. It was released by Earache Records on November 13, 1989. Background ''World Downfall'' is regarded as one of the most influential grindcore albums ever: it showcases crunchy, heavily distorted guitar riffs and extremely fast and precise blast beats in addition to growling, harsh vocals and lyrics dealing with social issues, features that would become a standard among grindcore music. Since the mid-1970s, California has had thriving regional punk rock movements. Heavy Metal Subculture
Fans of heavy metal music have created their own subculture that encompasses more than just appreciation of the style of music. Master (American Band)
Master is an American death metal band led by Paul Speckmann. Originally formed in Chicago, the band later relocated to Uherské Hradiště, Czechia. History The group was originally formed by Speckmann in 1983 as Death Strike, after the demise of his earlier band, Warcry. In 1985, Speckmann renamed the band Master and obtained a record deal with Combat Records. An album was recorded but was shelved due to issues with the label. The recording sessions for the album were released in 2003 by Displeased Records as ''Unreleased 1985 Album''. In 1990, the band signed with the German label Nuclear Blast, which also had Speckmann's other group, Abomination, under contract. Master released their debut album, titled ''Master'', in 1990. ''Scum'' is the debut studio album by English grindcore band Napalm Death, released on 1 July 1987 by Earache Records. The two sides of the record were recorded by two different lineups in sessions separated by about a year; the only musician in both incarnations was drummer Mick Harris. The two sides are very different, and the two taken together serve to bridge stylistic elements of heavy metal and punk rock. While the songs on the A-side are influenced heavily by hardcore punk and anarcho-punk, the vocals and lower-tuned electric guitars on the B-side anticipate subsequent developments in extreme metal. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings. Slayer was an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California.
