Terrible Joe Moran
''Terrible Joe Moran'' is a 1984 American made-for-television drama film directed by Joseph Sargent and starring James Cagney in his final role, Art Carney, and Ellen Barkin. The film, about an aging ex-boxer (Cagney) who needs to use a wheelchair for mobility, won an Emmy Award in 1984. Clips from Cagney's 1932 boxing picture '' Winner Take All'' were used to illustrate the character's earlier career. Reportedly, impressionist Rich Little dubbed much—if not all—of the Cagney dialog, as the stroke afflicted actor slurred his words and the decision was made to replace his voice with that of Little doing a Cagney impersonation. Joseph Sargent
Joseph Sargent (born Giuseppe Danielle Sorgente; July 22, 1925 – December 22, 2014) was an American film director. Though he directed many television movies, his best known feature-length works were arguably the action movie '' White Lightning'' starring Burt Reynolds, the biopic '' MacArthur'' starring Gregory Peck, and the horror anthology '' Nightmares''. His most popular feature film was the subway thriller '' The Taking of Pelham One Two Three''. Sargent won four Emmy Awards over his career. He is the father of voice actress Lia Sargent. Joe Seneca (January 14, 1919 – August 15, 1996) was an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for Willie Brown in '' Crossroads'' (1986), Dr. Meadows in '' The Blob'' (1988), and Dr. Hanes in ''The Cosby Show''. Life and career Seneca was born Joel Seneca McGhee, Jr. in Cleveland, Ohio. Edward I (17/18 June 1239 – 7 July 1307), also known as Edward Longshanks and the Hammer of the Scots, was King of England and Lord of Ireland from 1272 to 1307. Floyd Patterson (January 4, 1935 – May 11, 2006) was an American professional boxer who competed from 1952 to 1972, and twice reigned as the world heavyweight champion between 1956 and 1962.
