Terence Hill
Terence Hill (born Mario Girotti; 29 March 1939) is an Italian actor, film director, screenwriter and film producer. He began his career as a child actor and gained international fame for starring roles in action and comedy films, many with his Terence Hill and Bud Spencer, long-time film partner and friend Bud Spencer. During the height of his popularity, Hill was among Italy's highest-paid actors. His most widely seen films include comic and standard spaghetti Westerns, some based on popular novels by German author Karl May about the American frontier, Wild West. ''Vacation with a Gangster'' (Italian: ''Vacanze col gangster'') is a 1952 Italian comedy film directed by Dino Risi and starring Marc Lawrence, Giovanna Pala and Terence Hill. Plot A man sentenced to 20 years in prison in the Monteforte prison, while working on creating toys for children, puts a note in a papier-mâché horse in which he claims to have been unjustly imprisoned and appeals to anyone who reads the message to get him out of captivity. ''Lazzarella'' is a 1957 Italian comedy film directed by Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia and starring Alessandra Panaro and Mario Girotti (later best known as Terence Hill). It is loosely inspired by the lyrics of the song " Lazzarella" by Riccardo Pazzaglia and Domenico Modugno, with the same Pazzaglia serving as a screenwriter. Baroness Alida Maria Laura Altenburger von Marckenstein-Frauenberg (31 May 1921 – 22 April 2006), better known by her stage name Alida Valli, or simply Valli, was an Italian actress who appeared in more than 100 films in a 70-year career, spanning from the 1930s to the early 2000s. Ivo Livi (; 13 October 1921 – 9 November 1991), better known as Yves Montand (), was an Italian-born French actor and singer. He is said to be one of France's greatest 20th-century artists. Early life Montand was born Ivo Livi in Stignano, a small village in the hills of Monsummano Terme, Italy, to Giovanni Livi, a broom manufacturer. Montand's mother Giuseppina Simoni was a devout Catholic. The family left Italy for France in 1923 following fascist Benito Mussolini's rise to power. Richard Basehart
John Richard Basehart (August 31, 1914 – September 17, 1984) was an American actor. Known for his "deep, resonant baritone voice and craggy good looks," he was active in film, theatre and television from 1947 until 1983. He won two National Board of Review Awards, for his performances in '' Fourteen Hours'' (1951) and ''Moby Dick'' (1956), and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for ''Time Limit'' (1957). Basehart was known to television viewers for starring as Admiral Harriman Nelson on the television science-fiction drama '' Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea'' (1964–68). Märta Torén (21 May 1925 – 19 February 1957) was a Swedish stage and film actress of the 1940s and 1950s. Biography Torén's father was a Swedish military officer, and for three years, during World War II, he was a secretary in the Swedish war office. After studying at the Stockholm Royal Dramatic Theatre's Royal Dramatic Training Academy, Torén began her career on the stage and from 1947 she appeared in films. She appeared on the cover of the 13 June issue of ''Life Magazine'' in 1949. Torén appeared in 11 American film productions during her brief career.
