Telesphore Richard Mkude (born 30 November 1945) is a Tanzanian Catholic Church, Catholic prelate who is the Bishop Emeritus of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Morogoro, Tanzania. He served there as bishop from 5 April 1993 until his age-related retirement on 30 December 2020. Before he was appointed bishop of Morogoro, he served as Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tanga from 18 January 1988 until 5 Apr 1993. He was appointed bishop on 18 January 1988 by Pope John Paul II. Early life and education He was born on 30 November 1945 in Pinde Village, Morogoro Region Diocese of Morogoro, in Tanzania. Priest He served as priest of Morogoro Diocese from 16 July 1972 until 18 January 1988. Bishop On 18 January 1988 Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of the Diocese of Tanga, Tanzania.
