Mediahuis (; ) is a European multinational newspaper and magazine publishing, distribution, printing, television, radio and online media company founded in 2014 with assets in Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Luxembourg and Germany. Mediahuis publishes daily newspaper titles in Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland as well as regional titles, and is involved in broadcasting a number of Dutch and French language TV and radio stations. Irish assets are held in Independent News & Media subsidiary. The headquarters of Mediahuis is in Antwerp. History Mediahuis was founded in January 2014 as a joint venture of two Flemish media corporations: Corelio and Concentra. ''Metro'' () is a free Dutch newspaper, distributed daily since 1999, mostly to commuters in high-traffic areas. Formerly owned by Metro International, in August 2012 the paper was taken over by the Telegraaf Media Group (TMG). At the time of acquisition, TMG already published another free Dutch newspaper, '' Spits''. Later Spits merged into Metro. ''Luxemburger Wort'' (; ) is a German-language Luxembourgish daily newspaper. There is an English edition named the ''Luxembourg Times''. It is owned by Mediahuis Luxembourg. History and profile ''Luxemburger Wort'' has been published since 1848. The paper was founded just three days after press censorship was abolished. The newspaper is mainly written in German, but includes small sections in both Luxembourgish and French. For many years from its founding until recently, the paper was part of the Saint-Paul Luxembourg S.A. which was owned by the Archdiocese. The paper has a strong Catholic leaning. The ''Sunday World'' is an Irish newspaper published by Independent News & Media. It is the second largest selling "popular" newspaper in the Republic of Ireland, and is also sold in Northern Ireland where a modified edition with more stories relevant to that region is produced. It was first published on 25 March 1973. Until 25 December 1988 all editions were printed in Dublin but since 1 January 1989 a Northern Ireland edition has been published and an English edition has been printed in London since March 1992. Radio Veronica is a Dutch commercial radio station owned by Mediahuis since June 2023, before that it was a subsidiary of Talpa Network. The station runs a mixed playlist of pop and rock music from the 1970s until the 2000s, additional with current hits. The station can be compared with Absolute Radio and Radio X (United Kingdom) in the United Kingdom.
