Tamir Hayman
Tamir Heyman (; born in 1968) is a reserve IDF officer with the rank of Aluf who serves as the director of the Institute for National Security Studies. He has served as the head of Military Intelligence Directorate, as the commander of the Northern Corps, and as the commander of the IDF military colleges. Biography Tamir Heyman grew up in Bat Yam and enlisted in the IDF in 1987, in the Armored Corps. He served as a communications operator in Battalion 82 of Brigade 7 and participated in combat in South Lebanon when his unit was stationed at the Reihan outpost. He later completed a tank commanders course. After an officers' course, he returned to the battalion as a platoon commander and later served as an instructor in the Armored Corps officers' course. Bat Hefer () is a community settlement in the Sharon plain in Israel. The 36th Division "Ga'ash", also known as the Ga'ash Formation ("Rage"), is a regular-service division of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). It is subordinate to Northern Command. IDF Command And Staff College
The Command and Staff College (), abbreviated , PUM, also translated as Inter-Service Command and Staff College, Israel, is intended for the training of senior Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officers. It was established on May 31, 1954. In the mid-1980s the collected statistics showed that a significant number of senior officers paid little attention to this kind of study. This, together with the drawbacks in military training revealed during the 1982 Lebanon War, had led to a series of reorganizations, continued well into 2010s. In 1991, all military colleges, including PUM, were merged into the IDF Military Colleges unit under the General Staff.In 2004, it was decided to add a course for Air Force.
