Louay Taleb (; born August 9, 1975, in Damascus, Syria) is a retired Syrian football (soccer), football player. He ended his career as a player at Al-Wahda SC Damascus, Al-Wahda in 2002 and became one of the assistant coaches there. He moved to Al-Faisaly Club (Amman), Al-Faisaly club in Jordan to be the assistant coach there from February 2009 until his contract ended in May 2009. Sufi Abu Taleb (; January 27, 1925 – February 21, 2008) was an Egyptian politician. He served as Speaker of the People's of Assembly from 1978 to 1983 and, following the assassination of Anwar Sadat on 6 October 1981, assumed the duties of acting head of state for eight days per the Egyptian Constitution. He subsequently stepped aside for Sadat's Vice-President Hosni Mubarak. Early life Abu Taleb was born in Tamiya in Faiyum Governorate. In economics and finance, a Taleb distribution is the statistical profile of an investment which normally provides a payoff of small positive returns, while carrying a small but significant risk of catastrophic losses. The term was coined by journalist Martin Wolf and economist John Kay to describe investments with a "high probability of a modest gain and a low probability of huge losses in any period." The concept is named after Nassim Nicholas Taleb, based on ideas outlined in his book '' Fooled by Randomness''. According to Taleb in ''Silent Risk'', the term should be called "payoff" to reflect the importance of the payoff function of the underlying probability distribution, rather than the distribution itself.
