T.T. Quick
T.T. Quick is an American heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Osbornsville, New Jersey, formed in 1979. They are best known for their 1986 album ''Metal Of Honor'' and vocalist Mark Tornillo who has been the frontman for German heavy metal band Accept (band), Accept since 2009. History The band started on the highly competitive New Jersey bar band cover music circuit. In 1983 Jon Zazula began the iconic Megaforce Records label, signing T.T. Quick, along with Metallica, Anthrax (American band), Anthrax and Overkill (band), Overkill and several others. The band would release their eponymous debut EP on the Megaforce subsidiary Avalanche imprint in 1984 after which drummer Glenn Evans left to join Nuclear Assault. In 1985, T.T. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness. Nuclear Assault
Nuclear Assault was an American thrash metal band formed in New York City in 1984. Part of the mid-to-late 1980s thrash metal movement, they were one of the main bands of the genre to emerge from the East Coast along with Overkill, Whiplash, Toxik, Carnivore, and Anthrax, the last of which was co-founded by Nuclear Assault bassist Dan Lilker, who left Anthrax shortly after the release of their first album. Nuclear Assault released five full-length albums and toured relentlessly throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, and broke up in 1995. The band reunited briefly in 1997 and then permanently in 2002 before subsequently breaking up again in 2022. Nuclear Assault had released six studio albums to date, in addition to two live albums, four EPs and one compilation album. Skid Row is an American Rock music, rock band formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey. Their current lineup comprises bassist Rachel Bolan, guitarists Dave Sabo and Scotti Hill, drummer Rob Hammersmith and vocalist Erik Grönwall. Ozzy Osbourne
John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which period he adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness". David Michael Sabo (born September 16, 1964), nicknamed "The Snake", is an American musician best known as one of the guitarists of heavy metal band Skid Row. Biography Pre-Skid Row Sabo was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and grew up in nearby Sayreville, in the same neighborhood as childhood friend Jon Bon Jovi. His mother, Dorothy, raised him and his brothers as a single mother. Zachary Phillip Wylde (born Jeffrey Phillip Wielandt; January 14, 1967) is an American musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and as the founder, lead guitarist, lead singer, songwriter and producer of the heavy metal band Black Label Society. His signature bulls-eye design appears on many of his guitars and is widely recognized. ''Something Wicked'' is the fifth studio album by American thrash metal band Nuclear Assault, released on February 23, 1993 by I.R.S. Records. This is the first and only album not to feature founding members Dan Lilker and Anthony Bramante, as they departed in 1992 before the recording process began. Their replacements, Scott Metaxas and Dave DiPietro, were both part of the final Prophet line-up that recorded the ''Recycled'' album; DiPietro had also previously played in T.T. Quick with drummer Glenn Evans. ''Something Wicked'' would also be Nuclear Assault's final studio album for 12 years, until the release of '' Third World Genocide'' in 2005. Prophet was an American melodic rock band from New Jersey. The last lineup of the group featured Russell Arcara (vocals), Dave DiPietro (guitar), Ken Dubman (guitar), Scott Metaxas (bass), Joe Zujkowski (keyboards) and Jim Callahan (drums). However, the band had many lineups along its career. History Prophet was founded in the 1980s by two previous members of Icarian and Tom Fuller's Rock City, bassist Scott Metaxas and keyboardist Joe Zujkowski. To complete the group, they invited Ken Dubman (guitar), William Runco (guitar), Bob Butterfield (drums) and Marc Hoffman (vocals). Overkill (band)
Overkill is an American thrash metal band, formed in 1980 in New Jersey. They have gone through many lineup changes, leaving bassist D.D. Verni and lead vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth as the only constant members. In addition to Verni and Ellsworth, Overkill's current lineup includes Dave Linsk on lead guitar, Derek Tailer on rhythm guitar and Jason Bittner on drums. Mark Tornillo
Mark Tornillo (born June 8, 1954) is an American singer and songwriter best known for serving as the frontman of heavy metal band Accept. He joined the band officially in May 2009 as Udo Dirkschneider's replacement. He also became the main lyricist of Accept, replacing the band's long-time manager Gaby Hoffmann. Career and style Raised in Brielle, New Jersey, Tornillo graduated from Manasquan High School in 1972. His both grandfathers were musicians and because of that he had musical training since young age, including classical piano lessons for nine years. Hearing the Beatles at the age of 7 or 8 inspired Tornillo to become a musician. Before gaining fame as a singer he also played bass in bands. Before he joined Accept, Tornillo was in the group T.T.
