Synchro Anarchy
''Synchro Anarchy'' is the fifteenth studio album, and nineteenth release overall, by Canadian heavy metal band Voivod, released on February 11, 2022. Like its predecessor '' The Wake'', this album was produced by Voivod and Francis Perron who also recorded and mixed it. The mastering was done by Maor Appelbaum and the artwork was designed by drummer Michel "Away" Langevin, who has created the cover artwork for each of the band's albums since their 1984 debut '' War and Pain''. ''Synchro Anarchy'' also marks the first album by Voivod since 2009's '' Infini'' to have been recorded with the same lineup as the prior album. Voivod (band)
Voivod is a Canadian heavy metal band from Jonquière, Quebec (now Saguenay, Quebec). The original line-up consisted of vocalist Denis "Snake" Bélanger, guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour, drummer Michel "Away" Langevin and bassist Jean-Yves "Blacky" Thériault. The band has had numerous members changes throughout its -year career, with Langevin as the only remaining original member. Their current line-up consists of Langevin, Bélanger, Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain (guitar) and Dominic "Rocky" Laroche (bass). Voivod's musical style has changed several times since the band's origin in the early 1980s. Starting out as a speed metal band, Voivod have added a mix of progressive metal and thrash metal to create their own unique metal style. ''War and Pain'' is the debut studio album from Canadian heavy metal band Voivod, released on August 10, 1984 through Metal Blade Records. According to a 1986 TV interview with the band, it sold over 40,000 copies within 2 years of its release. ''War and Pain'' was reissued several times on the CD format (sometimes on different labels in other countries): the first CD issue on Metal Blade in 1987, in 1990 on Enigma Records, Enigma; remastered by Metal Blade and reissued in 1994; it was also released in Roadrunner's Pricekillers series (also 1990); and again by Metal Blade in 2004 as a remastered 3-CD boxset (see the 20th Anniversary Edition section for the bonus material).Metal-Archives.com

Daniel Mongrain
Daniel Mongrain (also known as Dan Mongrain and Chewy) is perhaps best known as a co-founder of the Quebec technical death metal band Martyr. He composes, sings and plays lead and rhythm guitar. Mongrain is currently a guitarist and composes as a member for the Canadian thrash/progressive metal band Voivod since 2008, replacing late guitarist Denis D'Amour. Mongrain was a session and touring guitarist for the Canadian metal bands Cryptopsy (2005), Gorguts (2000), Alcoholica (2004) and Capharnaum (2003). In addition to the metal genre, Mongrain plays guitar with several Quebec artists including Dan Bigras, Breen Leboeuf, Bruno Pelletier for the musical Dracula - Entre l'amour et la mort among others and played with more than 80 different formations, bands in numerous genres from Blues to rock to hip-hop to prog to metal, etc. His latest cover band project is a tribute band to progressive music from the 1970s called Jurassik Rock. Denis Bélanger
Denis "Snake" Bélanger (born August 9, 1964) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He is the lead singer and lyricist of heavy metal band Voivod. Early life Bélanger grew up in Jonquière, Quebec. Career Bélanger joined Michel Langevin, Denis D'Amour and Jean-Yves Thériault to form Voivod in 1982, in northern Quebec. He appeared on the albums '' War & Pain'', '' Rrröööaaarrr'', ''Killing Technology'', ''Dimension Hatröss'', '' Nothingface'', ''Angel Rat'' and '' The Outer Limits''. Bélanger departed the group in 1994, after completing a tour in support of ''The Outer Limits''. He formed his own band, Union Made with Peter Jackson and worked on the song "Dictatosaurus" with Dave Grohl's side project dubbed Probot. Michel Langevin
Michel "Away" Langevin (born May 30, 1963) is a founding member and drummer of Canadian heavy metal band Voivod. He has been a constant member of the band since its formation in 1982. Langevin is credited with the creation of the mythology of the post-apocalyptic vampire lord Voivod, about which the band originally coalesced, and is largely responsible for its continuing science fiction themes. Langevin is also a graphic design artist. He has created all of Voivod's artwork, as well as the artwork for the Probot album. He is also credited with the design for Non Phixion's album cover artwork. He published an artbook called "Worlds Away: Voivod and The Art of Michel Langevin". Langevin has also cowritten songs for JG Thirlwell's ''Steroid Maximus'' and drummed on Men Without Hats' ''Sideways'' (1991).
