Sue Scott (sociologist)
Sue Scott is a British sociologist and feminist whose research has focused primarily on sexuality, gender and risk. She is a Visiting Professor at the University of Newcastle and an Honorary Professor at the University of Helsinki. From 2013–2019 she was Honorary Professor In the Centre for Women's Studies at the University of York. She was President of the British Sociological Association 2007–2009 and President of the European Sociological Association 2017–2019. She is a co-founder and Managing Editor of the Social Science Research Magazine ‘Discover Society’. Career From 2009–2012 she was Pro Vice-Chancellor at Glasgow Caledonian University. New Society
''New Society'' was a weekly magazine of social inquiry and social and cultural comment, published in the United Kingdom from 1962 to 1988. It drew on the disciplines of sociology, anthropology, psychology, human geography, social history and social policy, and it published wide-ranging social reportage. Stevi Jackson (born 23 June 1951), is an academic and writer working in the field of gender and sexuality. David Morgan (sociologist)
David Hopcraft John Morgan (30 July 1937 – 17 June 2020), known as David (H. J.) Morgan, was a British sociologist, who was President of the British Sociological Association (1997–1999) and editor of the association's journal ''Sociology''. His research focused on family sociology, gender studies and especially men's studies. Morgan was Professor of Sociology at the University of Manchester, where he taught sociology from 1964, and where the Morgan Centre for the Study of Relationships and Personal Life is named in his honour. He also held Visiting Professorships at Keele University and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He was co-editor of the Palgrave Studies in Family Sociology book series.
