Stephen Leaney
Stephen John Leaney (born 10 March 1969) is a professional golfer from Australia. Born in Busselton, Western Australia, Leaney turned professional in 1992 and won several tournaments in Australia in the 1990s, despite having two ribs cut removed in December 1993 after doctors diagnosed a blood clot in his shoulder. Leaney has since spoken to W.A media and confirmed the threatening injury may have been caused from his prior to golf career in premier league darts. Between 1998 and 2003 he made the top 15 on the European Tour Order of Merit three times and won four European Tour events. Since 2004 he has played mainly on the based PGA Tour, but he has performed only moderately. His best finish in the United States remains a second place at the U.S. Open in 2003. Darren Christopher Clarke, (born 14 August 1968) is a professional golfer from Northern Ireland who currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions and has previously played on the European Tour and PGA Tour. He has won 21 tournaments worldwide on a number of golf's main tours including the European Tour, the PGA Tour, the Sunshine Tour and the Japan Golf Tour. His biggest victory came when he won the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St George's in England, his first major win after more than 20 years and 54 attempts. Darren Cole (born 3 January 1992) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a defender for Coleraine. He has previously played for Rangers, Partick Thistle, Greenock Morton, Livingston, Derry City and Glentoran. Mike Clayton (golfer)
Michael Andrew Clayton (born 30 May 1957) is an Australian professional golfer, golf course architect and commentator on the game. He won the 1984 Timex Open on the European Tour and won six times on the PGA Tour of Australasia between 1982 and 1994. Amateur career Clayton was born in Melbourne, Victoria. He had a very successful amateur career which included the 1978 Australian Amateur, and the Victorian Amateur in 1977 and 1981. Professional career Clayton turned professional in 1981, the same year he joined the Australian Tour. He won his first tour event one year later and would win six more times between then and 1994. Robert Allenby (born 12 July 1971) is an Australian professional golfer. Early years Allenby was born on 12 July 1971 in Melbourne, Victoria. His father had emigrated to Australia from Leeds, UK as a young man. Professional career He turned professional in 1992 and was successful almost immediately, topping the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit in his first season and again in 1994. Victorian Open
The Vic Open is an annual golf tournament held in Australia. It was founded in 1957 and is the Victoria state open championship for men. It is run by Golf Victoria and is a Golf Australia national ranking event. The event is held concurrently with the Women's Victorian Open and offers equal prize pool for the two events. The tournament's tag line is: "Men and women. On the same course. At the same time. For equal prize money." The men and women play on the same course at the same time in alternating groups. History The first Victorian Open was played at Riversdale in 1957, replacing the Victorian Close Championship which had been first held in 1948. Alastair Forsyth (born 5 February 1976) is a Scottish professional golfer. Amateur career Forsyth was born in Glasgow, Scotland and grew up supporting Rangers. He was a member of a winning Great Britain & Ireland Jacques Léglise Trophy team in 1994 and he won the 1996 Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship. Carlsberg Malaysian Open
The Malaysian Open is a men's professional golf tournament currently played on the Asian Tour. Notable past winners include world number one golfers Vijay Singh and Lee Westwood (both players winning the event on two occasions). Other notable winners include 17-year-old Italian Matteo Manassero in 2011 as well as former Open champion Louis Oosthuizen the following year. Alexander Čejka (born 2 December 1970) is a Czech-German professional golfer. Čejka was born in Mariánské Lázně, Czechoslovakia. He left the country with his parents as a refugee at the age of nine, eventually settling in Munich, where he lived for many years, becoming a West German citizen. Linde German Masters
The German Masters was a European Tour men's professional golf tournament played in Germany, and hosted and promoted by Germany's most successful golfer Bernhard Langer and his brother Erwin. History Founded in 1987, the tournament was originally played in Stuttgart, moving to Berlin in 1994. Since 1998, it has been held at Golf Club Gut Lärchenhof in Pulheim near Cologne.
