Stephanie Kifowit
Stephanie Kifowit (born November 2, 1971) is the Illinois state representative for the 84th district, which includes all or parts of Aurora, Boulder Hill, Montgomery, Naperville, and Oswego. Kifowit is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a former substitute teacher, and previously served as an alderman in the city of Aurora. She is currently serving on the Healthcare Licensing, Financial Institutions, Intermodal Transportation, General Services Appropriation – Vice Chairman, and Business Growth Committees for the 99th General Assembly. Kifowit graduated with a Bachelor of Science in political science and a Masters of Public Administration from Northern Illinois University. Tom Cross (born July 31, 1958) is an American lawyer and former Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives where he served from 1993 to 2015. He served as House Minority Leader from January 2002 to August 2013, when he resigned to run for Illinois Treasurer. Early life and career Cross served as an assistant state's attorney for Kendall County, Illinois, for eight years prior to his election to the Illinois House in the 1992 election. Political career During his time as House Republican leader, Cross joined with then Senate Republican leader Frank Watson to referee the "rancorous" relationship between House and Senate Democrats and Democratic Governor Rod Blagojevich. Montgomery is a village in Kane and Kendall counties, Illinois. While roughly 45 miles from Chicago, it is not considered a Chicago suburb. The population was 20,262 at the 2020 census. Between 2000 and 2010 the village population grew 237 percent, making Montgomery the ninth fastest growing municipality in Illinois during the decade. Geography Montgomery is located in southern Kane County and northern Kendall County at (41.7188316, -88.3920915). Naperville ( ) is a city in DuPage County, Illinois, DuPage and Will County, Illinois, Will counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. It is in the Chicago metro area, west of the city. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area on the Fox River, south of Aurora. Geography Boulder Hill is located at (41.7113530, -88.3351400). According to the United States Census Bureau, Boulder Hill has a total area of , of which or 99% of its land and or 1% of its water. Up until the early 2000s, the Boulder Hill subdivision had a small development area, equating to almost a town square. The community itself has a strong identity, as the people from Boulder Hill are not classified as being from Montgomery or Oswego, two nearby larger towns.
