Stangvik (municipality)
Stangvik is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The municipality of Stangvik (historically spelled ''Stangvig'') encompassed much of the area surrounding the Trongfjorden and the smaller fjords that branch off of it such as the Ålvundfjorden, Stangvikfjorden, and Todalsfjorden. The municipality was mostly located in what is now Surnadal Municipality and also small portions of what is now Sunndal Municipality and Tingvoll Municipality. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Stangvik where Stangvik Church is located. Nordmøre
Nordmøre (English: North- Møre) is a traditional district in the Norwegian county of Møre og Romsdal. The area comprises the northern third of the county including the municipalities of Kristiansund, Averøy, Tingvoll, Surnadal, Aure, Halsa, Eide, Sunndal, Gjemnes, and Smøla. The only town in Nordmøre is Kristiansund. Of these ten municipalities, three are located (mainly) on islands: Kristiansund, Averøy, and Smøla and seven lie on the coast (including between, adjacent to, or at the end of, fjords): Tingvoll, Surnadal, Aure, Halsa, Eide, Sunndal, and Gjemnes; no municipalities are completely landlocked. Kunnskapsforlaget
Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. The purpose was to co-operate on publishing encyclopaedias and dictionaries. The first volume of Store norske leksikon (SNL) was published in 1978. A total of four editions was published (the last one in 2004), before the online version was transferred to Institusjonen Fritt Ord og Sparebankstiftelsen DnB in 2011. Kunnskapsforlaget is the largest dictionary publisher in Norway. They publish both printed books, and digital dictionaries that are available through the online service Ordnett (launched in 2004). Ålvund
Ålvund is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located at the beginning of the Ålvundfjorden (an extension of the Trongfjorden, about northwest of the village of Ålvundeidet and the Innerdalen valley. The river Ålvundelva flows down the Innerdalen valley, through the village of Ålvundeidet, and empties into the fjord at the village of Ålvund. The Norwegian National Road 70 runs through Ålvund on its way from the village of Sunndalsøra north to the village of Tingvoll and on the town of Kristiansund. Its population in 2003 was 202, but since 2004 it has not been considered to be an urban settlement by Statistics Norway, and its data is therefore not tracked. The Schei Committee ( no, Schei-komitéen) was a committee named by the Government of Norway to look into the organization of municipalities in Norway post- World War II. It convened in 1946, and its formal name was (The 1946 Committee on Municipal Division). Åsskard is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1895 until its dissolution in 1965. It was located in what is now the northern part of Surnadal Municipality. The former municipality of Åsskard (historically spelled ''Aasgaard'') included the area around the Åsskardfjorden, north of the Hamnesfjorden, and east of the Trongfjorden.
