Stan Blake
Stan Blake (born November 8, 1954) is an American railroad conductor and politician, and a former Wyoming state legislator. A member of the Democratic Party, Blake represented the 39th district in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 2007 to 2021. In 2020, he was defeated by fellow Union Pacific employee and Green River resident Marshall Burt, a Libertarian. Blake is employed by the Union Pacific Railroad and lives in Green River, Wyoming Green River is a city in and the county seat of Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. The Libertarian Party (LP) is a political party in the United States that promotes civil liberties, non-interventionism, '' laissez-faire'' capitalism, and limiting the size and scope of government. Green River is a city in and the county seat of Sweetwater County, Wyoming, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. The population was 12,515 at the 2010 census. History The townsite of Green River, Dakota Territory was platted by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1867. Although the Territory of Wyoming was created on July 25, 1868, the Town of Green River was incorporated on August 21,1868 under the laws of the previous Territory of Dakota since the laws of the Wyoming Territory had yet to be written. The Town of Green River was re-incorporated on June 10, 1891 under the laws of the State of Wyoming to remove any ambiguity. The Union Pacific Railroad reached Green River on October 1, 1868 and was supposed to be the site of a division point for the railroad. Railroad officials were surprised to find that a town of 2000 residents and permanent adobe buildings had been established there, likely requiring costly negotiations for railroad land. There are 60 Representatives in the House, representing an equal number of single-member constituent districts across the state, each with a population of at least 9,000. John Hastert
John M. Hastert (born November 20, 1958) is a former Democratic member of the Wyoming Senate, he represented the 13th district from 2007 to 2019. The 13th is located in Sweetwater County and includes Green River, Purple Sage, Clearview Acres and portions of Rock Springs. He served as the Senate Minority Caucus Chairman from 2013 until his promotion to Senate Minority Whip in 2017. Prior to his service in the Senate, he served 1.5 terms in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 2003 through January 2007. Wyoming () is a state in the Mountain West subregion of the Western United States.
