St. Amant High School
St. Amant High School is a high school located in unincorporated Ascension Parish, Louisiana, United States, in the Census-designated place of St. Amant. It is within the Ascension Parish School Board, currently one four high schools operated by the APSB (Prairieville High School is scheduled to open in August 2024). As of the 2022–2023 school year, the school has an enrollment of 2,411 students and 138.98 classroom teachers , for a student-teacher ratio of 17.35. The school colors are black and gold and the school mascot is the alligator. The current principal is Beth Templet. Freshman Academy The Freshman Academy at St. Amant High School was added and completed in 2016. Butch Pierre (born October 4, 1962) is a college basketball coach, currently serving as head coach at Northwest Florida State College. Prior to his stint at Northwest State Florida College, Pierre served as the director for player personnel for the University of Memphis Tigers men's basketball team under coach Tubby Smith during the 2017-18 season. The Columbus Crew, formerly known as Columbus Crew SC, is an American professional soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio. The NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, sometimes known as the College Cup, is an American intercollegiate soccer tournament conducted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and determines the Division I men's national champion. Jason Garey (born July 19, 1984) is an American soccer player. Career Youth and College Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Garey, who grew up in Gonzales, Louisiana, attended St. Amant High School and played for the Baton Rouge Soccer Club. Blayne Chanlar Enlow (born March 21, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Minnesota Twins organization.
