Spånga is a community and parish in the borough of Spånga-Tensta in Stockholm County, Sweden. Background Spånga was an independent municipality until January 1, 1949 when most of it was merged with the City of Stockholm, with smaller portions of the area merging with Solna, Sundbyberg, and Sollentuna municipalities. Spånga was originally the name of a village centered on Spånga Church (''Spånga kyrka''), which dates to the 12th century. Spånga is home to the largest TV studio in Sweden run by NEP Group which has 3 studio in total there, shows including Idol 2020 have been filmed there. Due to Covid-19 Melodifestivalen is considering using the studios for 2021 to film all 6 editions instead of the nationwide tour. School Spånga high school was built 1928 and it is near Spånga station and Spånga market. There are about 600 pupils in the school right now. Spånga Church
Spånga Church ( sv, Spånga kyrka) is a church in the Spånga-Tensta borough in Stockholm, Sweden. The oldest part of the church origins from the time period 1175 – 1200. Large reconstructions and enhancements took place during the 14th century and the 15th century. Baron Gustaf Bonde (1620–1667), owner of the nearby Hässelby castle, made considerable donations to the church. After his death a grave choir, drawn by the architect Nicodemus Tessin the Elder, was attached as a continuation of the church, in which he and his descendants are buried. The church also contains other historical monuments, such as several fresco paintings from the Middle Ages. The church was latest renovated 1953–1955. Spånga-Tensta is a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') located in Västerort in the western part of Stockholm, Sweden. The districts that make up the borough are Bromsten, Flysta, Lunda, Solhem, Sundby and Tensta. A large portion of Järvafältet is also located in Spånga-Tensta as well as in the districts of Akalla and Husby in neighboring Rinkeby-Kista borough. The borough includes of the community of Spånga. Sundbyberg Municipality
Sundbyberg Municipality (''Sundbybergs kommun'' or ''Sundbybergs stad'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden, just north of the capital Stockholm. Sundbyberg is wholly within the Stockholm urban area and has a 100% urban population. Sundbyberg was detached from Bromma (which since 1916 is in Stockholm Municipality) in 1888 as a market town ('' köping''). It got the title of a city in 1927. In 1949 parts of Solna Municipality and Spånga Municipality (when the rest of Spånga was amalgamated into Stockholm) were added. Idol 2020 (Sweden)
Idol 2020 was the sixteenth season of the Swedish Idol series. Like earlier seasons, the season was broadcast on TV4. New for this year is that one person got to audition for this season already during the final of Idol 2019 in Globen, Rebecka Assio made it through to the final audition in Stockholm. On 22 September, contestant Caspar Camitz tested positive for COVID-19 and would miss the first Top 13 performance. On 25 September, just a few hours away from the airing of the first Friday show, Affe Hagström, Nadja Holm and Herman Silow also tested positive for the virus, which led to changes to the week's show. The contestants therefore performed their songs from their suites at their hotel.
