Spacey Jane are an Australian indie rock band from Fremantle, which formed in 2016. The group consists of Ashton Hardman-Le Cornu (guitar), Caleb Harper (vocals, guitar), Kieran Lama (drums) and, since 2019, Peppa Lane (bass guitar). Their debut studio album, ''Sunlight'', was released in 2020 and peaked at number two on the ARIA Charts. It was preceded by triple platinum single "Booster Seat", which peaked at number eight and won the ARIA Song of the Year. In 2020, their debut extended play '' No Way to Treat an Animal'' (2017) also peaked at number 23. The band had four songs listed in the 2020 Triple J Hottest 100 with "Booster Seat" highest placed at number two. Triple J Hottest 100, 2022
The 2022 Triple J Hottest 100 was announced on 28 January 2023. It was the 30th annual countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as voted for by listeners of Australian radio station Triple J. The day before, the Hottest 200 played, counting down songs 200–101. Merchandise sales from the event supported the Australian Conservation Foundation. Australian musician Flume's song " Say Nothing" featuring May-a was voted into first place. Australian band Spacey Jane had the most entries, with six, including three in the top 10. Over 2.4 million votes were submitted, and 57 entries in the countdown originated from Australian artists. ''In the Slight'' is the second extended play (EP) by Australian indie rock band Spacey Jane, released independently on 10 November 2018. It was produced by Rob Grant and Dave Parkin, and preceded by two singles, "Cold Feet" and "Keep a Clean Nose". The EP was supported by a national tour from March 2019. Compared to the garage rock sound of their debut EP '' No Way to Treat an Animal'' (2017), ''In the Slight'' dabbles with indie rock and folk-pop, with elements of shoegaze. RTRFM (call sign: 6RTR) is a not-for-profit, community radio station based in Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. It is self-funded, largely through listener subscription and fund-raising events.
