Space (club)
Space (, , ) was a superclub on the island of Ibiza, Spain from 1986 to 2016, owned by STANCA. It was awarded "Best Global Club" at the International Dance Music Awards in 2005, 2006, 2012, 2013, and 2014. Space was located in Platja d'en Bossa on the outskirts of Ibiza Town, close to the Ibiza Airport, airport. In 2017 the venue reopened under the name Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel#Hï Ibiza, Hï Ibiza. History Space first opened in early summer of 1986. The opening night featured the opening of the water park Aguamar located behind the club, party-goers being able to take advantage of the waterslides at night. Space in its current form began in 1989 when Pepe Rosello, Ibiza nightclub owner since 1963, took over the establishment, which in the four years since it was built had housed a conference hall with a discothèque. Platja D'en Bossa
Platja d'en Bossa (; es, Playa d'en Bossa) is a major holiday resort on the Spanish island of Ibiza primarily catering for the British, German and Italian package holiday market. It is situated in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, approximately to the South of Ibiza Town. The island's main airport is approximately away from Platja d'en Bossa. Description At long, the resort has the longest beaches on the island and is characterised by large hotel complex, restaurants, retail stores and residential property. There are both low and high rise buildings. In the summer months the area is one of the busiest resorts on the island. Clubbing Platja d'en Bossa is a popular resort for its many bars and nightclubs. One of the island's so called super-clubs called Space was located in the resort until its closure in 2016.
