The Southern Districts Football Club, nicknamed the Crocs, is an Australian rules football club established in 1981. The club plays in the Northern Territory Football League at semi-professional level and represent the rural area of Litchfield. Premier League ('A' Grade) The club won their first ever 'A' Grade Premiership under Coach Mark Motlop in the 1997/98 season defeating St Mary's. Michael "Magic" McLean coached for a number of seasons commencing with the 2006/07 Premiership season. Shannon Rusca became Senior Coach in the 2012/13 season. Anthony Corrie
Anthony Corrie (born 22 June 1984 in Darwin,) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who had a 56-game Australian Football League (AFL) career. Regarded as of the most talented under 18s in the country, he was named All-Australian and won the Harrison Medal at the Under 18 National Championships 2002, attracting the attention of AFL talent scouts. The Brisbane Lions recruited him in the 2002 AFL Draft from the Southern Districts Football Club. In 2004 he made his AFL debut with the Brisbane Lions against West Coast. Brisbane Lions
The Brisbane Lions is a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane, Queensland, that plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in late 1996 via a merger of the Melbourne-based 1883 foundation VFL club the Fitzroy Lions, and the 1987 Queensland based expansion club the Brisbane Bears, with the colours of maroon, blue, and gold being drawn from both parent clubs. The Lions are one of the most successful AFL club of the 2000s, appearing in four consecutive Grand Finals from 2001 to 2004 and winning three premierships (2001, 2002, 2003). Steven John Koops (born 24 July 1978) is a former professional Australian rules footballer, who played for the Fremantle Football Club and Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Originally from the Darwin based Southern Districts Football Club in the NTFL, Koops was drafted from the West Perth Football Club in the WAFL. He represented the Northern Territory at the 1994 and 1996 Under 18 Championships and won the Hunter Harrison Medal in 1995 as the best player in Division 2. Michael O'Loughlin
Michael Kevin O'Loughlin (born 20 February 1977) is a former professional Australian rules footballer, who played his entire Australian Football League career with the Sydney Swans. O'Loughlin was named a member of the Indigenous Team of the Century. He was the third player with Indigenous heritage to play 300 AFL games. Adrian McAdam
Adrian McAdam (born 12 March 1971) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with North Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL) and North Adelaide in the SANFL during the early 1990s. An Indigenous Australian, McAdam played in the Northern Territory Football League prior to being recruited by North Melbourne. Like his older brother Gilbert, he played with Southern Districts. During this time McAdam also captained the Northern Territory in the Teal Cup. In 1993, he joined John Longmire and Wayne Carey in the North Melbourne forward line and kicked 7 goals on his debut. His goal tally was the most ever by a North Melbourne player on debut and he followed it up with 10 goals against Sydney the following week and then 6 goals against Footscray. Gilbert McAdam (born 30 March 1967 in Alice Springs) is an Indigenous Australian former Australian rules football player and one of three McAdam brothers to play in the Australian Football League (AFL). Playing career Early career McAdam grew up in Alice Springs, where his father was president of the South Alice Football Club. His older brother, Greg McAdam, had earlier found his way to the St Kilda Football Club via North Adelaide in the SANFL. McAdam moved to Darwin to play in the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) with the Southern Districts Football Club when he was just 11 years old.
