It is the first and largest online sound effects and production music library on the Internet launched in May 1997. , 708,636 sound effects and production music tracks are available for immediate download or on hard drive or CD. Downloads are available in AIFF, WAV, and MP3 formats. Sounddogs started as a sound design and editorial company in 1990 and has contributed to more than 150 feature films and earned multiple awards and nominations from the BAFTA Award, Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Reel Awards. SoundStorm (company)
SoundStorm was an independent audio post-production and sound editorial company based in Burbank, California. It provided post-production sound design, sound editing and ADR in Hollywood. The editors recorded their sound effect library from 1984 to 2004, worked on more than eighty feature films, and earned a number of awards and nominations from the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, British Academy Film Awards and Golden Reel Awards. In 2004, the company was dissolved and sold its assets; Soundogs.com Inc. acquired the trademark and complete archive of the SoundStorm sound effects library. Gregory King (sound Designer)
Gregory King is a Canadian sound designer. Career Gregory King was born in 1966 in Montreal, Quebec. King's first professional job in sound design came in 1986, when he was hired by seasoned film sound editors Nolan Roberts and Alban Streeter. The beginning of his career largely focused on sound design within the television industry and playing in bands as a musician in Toronto. During the late 1980s he worked in sound design at Filmhouse, a studio now known as Deluxe Lab, and in 1991 formed the feature film sound editorial firm Sound Dogs with partner Nelson Ferreira. In 1994 he moved to Los Angeles, forming Sound Dogs US in 1995 with fellow sound designers Robert Grieve and Robert Nokes and launching a large online sound effects archive in May 1997 called Sounddogs.com. Soundelux is an American audio post production company based in California, a previous member of the Todd Soundelux group of sound companies. The Soundelux library and trademark was bought in 2014 by Sounddogs. In 2021, original founders Bender and Stateman came together to relaunch the new Soundelux which restarted in sound editing production with episodes of HBO's Euphoria.
