Skye Alexandra Sweetnam (born May 5, 1988) is a Canadian singer, actress, and music video director. She first entered the music industry in 2003 with the release of her debut single " Billy S." More than a year later, her debut studio album, ''Noise from the Basement'', was released along with the singles " Tangled Up in Me" and "Number One". Sweetnam is also known for her voice work in ''The Barbie Diaries''. In 2006, she was nominated for a Juno Award for New Artist of the Year. Her second studio album, '' Sound Soldier'', was released in 2007. She is currently the lead singer of the band Sumo Cyco; upon joining the band, she took the stage name Sever. The Matrix (record Production Team)
The Matrix is an American-British songwriting and record production team, consisting of Lauren Christy, Scott Spock, and Graham Edwards. In 1999, the production team took on their first project, the Jackson Mendoza song "Venus or Mars"; it was intended to be a one-off project. Christy, Spock, and Edwards enjoyed the songwriting and production process, which prompted them to form a production team. The team chose their name, the Matrix, as they wanted to remain in the background and allow the artists they work with to further stand out. The Matrix's breakthrough came in 2002 with the release of Avril Lavigne's debut studio album '' Let Go'', in which they co-wrote and produced five songs. Kenneth Karlin or just Karlin (born September 18, 1966) is a Danish songwriter and producer who is best known for his work with Carsten Schack, better known as Soulshock, forming the Los Angeles-based producer duo Soulshock & Karlin. They have worked with artists including Whitney Houston, Backstreet Boys, 2Pac, Mary J. Blige, and JoJo. Before joining Soulshock, Karlin was already an integral part of Denmark's jazz scene, producing Patti LaBelle's song "All Right Now." Beginnings Carsten Schack was born in the Aalborg suburb of Gug, the son of economics professor Bent Schack and physician assistant Åse Schack. In the early 1990s he dated choreographer Toniah Pedersen for 3 years.
