Ayten Amin
Ayten Amin (Arabic: آيتن أمين) is an Egyptian film director. She began her career making documentary films during the Egyptian Revolution of 2011. She is best known for '' Tahrir 2011: The Good, the Bad, and the Politician'' and '' Villa 69''. Early life Ayten Amin was born in Alexandria, Egypt. She studied Film Criticism in 2001. Her first films were shorts about belly dancing and Egyptian actress Madiha Kamel in 2005. At American University in Cairo, she produced ''Her Man'', which was screened in 10 international film festivals. She began working as an Assistant Director in 2008. Egyptian Arabic, locally known as Colloquial Egyptian ( ar, العامية المصرية, ), or simply Masri (also Masry) (), is the most widely spoken vernacular Arabic dialect in Egypt. It is part of the Afro-Asiatic language family, and originated in the Nile Delta in Lower Egypt. The ca. 100 million Egyptians speak a continuum of dialects, among which Cairene is the most prominent. It is also understood across most of the Arabic-speaking countries due to broad Egyptian influence in the region, including through Egyptian cinema and Egyptian music. 2020 Cannes Film Festival
The 73rd annual Cannes Film Festival was scheduled to take place from 12 to 23 May 2020. On 13 January 2020, Spike Lee was named as the president of the Jury. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in France, festival management announced on 14 April 2020 that the festival could not be held in its "original form", with alternative means of observing the festival being explored. It was cancelled for the first time since 1968. Earlier, festival management considered holding the festival in June or July, after not cancelling the event. Zagazig ( ar, الزقازيق ' , rural: ) is a city in Lower Egypt. Situated in the eastern part of the Nile delta, it is the capital of the governorate of Sharqia. It is located on the Muweis Canal and is a hub of the corn and cotton trade. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has invited the film industries of various countries to submit their best film for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film every year since the award was created in 29th Academy Awards, 1956. The award is presented annually by the Academy to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. The International Feature Film Award Committee oversees the process and reviews all the submitted films.
