Sophia Flörsch
Sophia Flörsch (born 1 December 2000) is a German racing driver, currently competing in the European Le Mans Series with Algarve Pro Racing. She has previously raced in the DTM, the FIA World Endurance Championship and FIA Formula 3, and is a podium finisher in ADAC Formula 4 and the ELMS, as well as the youngest race winner of the Ginetta Junior Championship. Personal life Flörsch was born in Grünwald, Bavaria, and has spent most of her life around Munich: she attended Oberhaching Grammar School and is now based in Pullach. Her interests include karting, skiing and wind surfing. In February 2020 she won the award for World Comeback of the Year at the 2020 Laureus World Sports Awards. Controversy Flörsch is an outspoken critic of the W Series women's Formula 3 championship; labelling it a "step back on a sporting level" and "not the way to help women in motorsport" upon launch in 2019, and "gender bashing" in 2022. Grünwald, Bavaria
Grünwald (German for ''green forest'') is a municipality in the district of Munich, in the state of Bavaria, Germany. It is located on the right bank of the Isar, 12 km southwest of Munich (centre). it had a population of 11,303. Grünwald is best known for medieval Grünwald Castle (Burg Grünwald), the Bavaria Film Studios (one of Europe's biggest and most famous movie production studios), and as a domicile for many prominent and rich people (Grünwald is the wealthiest municipality in Germany). The castle today houses a branch of the Bavarian Archaeological Museum. For the 1972 Summer Olympics, the municipality hosted the individual road race cycling event. 2016 ADAC Formula 4 Season
The 2016 ADAC Formula 4 season was the second season of the ADAC Formula 4. It began on 16 April at Oschersleben and finished on 2 October at Hockenheim after seven triple header rounds. Teams and drivers Race calendar All rounds were part of the ADAC GT Masters weekends, with the exception of round 4 which supported the TCR International Series. Championship standings Points were awarded to the top 10 classified finishers in each race. No points were awarded for pole position or fastest lap. W Series (championship)
W Series is an all-female single-seater racing championship. The series' first season was in 2019; it featured twenty drivers contesting six races. History The W Series was publicly launched on 10 October 2018. Rumours about the creation of a female-only racing series had begun to circulate in November 2017. It was created in response to the lack of female drivers progressing to the highest levels of motorsport, particularly Formula 1. The series has the backing of a number of prominent members of the motorsport community, including former F1 driver David Coulthard and engineer Adrian Newey. Pullach, officially Pullach i. Isartal, is a municipality in the district of Munich in Bavaria in Germany. It lies on the Isar Valley Railway and is served by the S 7 line of the Munich S-Bahn, at the Großhesselohe Isartalbahnhof, Pullach and Höllriegelskreuth railway stations.
