Skärholmen
Skärholmen is a suburban area in the district of Söderort in south-western Stockholm, Sweden. Together with Bredäng, Sätra and Vårberg, it forms the borough of Skärholmen. The community primarily consisting of ''Million Programme'' style apartment buildings from the 1960s and early 1970s. It is one of the larger and more well known suburbs of Stockholm. Skärholmen Centrum (also now as SKHLM), one of the biggest shopping centres in Sweden is situated in Skärholmen. Metro station The Skärholmen metro station was opened in 1967. The station is on the Red line (''Tunnelbana 2'') of the Stockholm metro. Söderort (literally "the southern place", sometimes translated to ''South Stockholm'') is the southern suburban part of the Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. It is also part of the city of Stockholm. Geography Söderort is located in the northern part of the Södertörn peninsula/island. The boroughs of Söderort are: Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, Farsta, Hägersten-Liljeholmen, Skärholmen, Skarpnäck and Älvsjö. Skärholmen Centrum
Skärholmen Centrum, also known and contracted as SKHLM, is a shopping center located in the Skärholmen borough of Stockholm in Sweden. The mall has a total gross leasable area of , including of public services, and is anchored by ICA, Systembolaget, H&M and Åhléns. It was inaugurated in 1968 by Prince Bertil, Duke of Halland and has been refurbished a number of times, most notably in 2008, when it was reopened by King Carl XVI Gustav. Vårberg
Vårberg is a suburb in the Skärholmen borough in the Söderort region of Stockholm, Sweden. Location Vårberg borders Skärholmen, Vårby gård, Huddinge, Estbröte, Kungshatt, and Ekerö. It has an area of 197 hectares of land and 65 hectares of water. Its population is 8,454 as of 31 December 2007. Vårberg contains the highest natural point in Stockholm, Vikingaberget, which is 77.24 meters above sea level. Million Programme
The Million Programme ( sv, Miljonprogrammet) was an ambitious public housing program implemented in Sweden between 1965 and 1974 by the governing Swedish Social Democratic Party to ensure the availability of affordable, high quality housing to all Swedish citizens. The program sought to construct one million new housing dwellings over a ten-year period, which it accomplished. As part of its intention to modernize Swedish housing, it also demolished many older buildings that national and local governments considered obsolescent, unhealthy or derelict. At the time, the intention to build one million new homes in a nation with a population of eight million made the Million Programme the most ambitious building programme in the world. In contrast to the social housing proposals of many other developed countries, which is targeted at those with low incomes, the Million Programme was a universal program intended to provide housing to Swedish people at a variety of income levels. ...

Sätra
Sätra is a suburb in the district in Söderort in Stockholm, Sweden. Location The district is bounded on the north by Lake Mälaren and on the south by Södertalje Road, a section of European route E4 and European route E20. Sätra borders the districts of Bredäng and Skärholmen, as well as Segeltorp in Huddinge municipality and Kungshatt in Ekerö municipality. History The City of Stockholm bought the land in 1934 A.D. A new general plan for Sätra was drawn up the day after. Construction began in 1964 and four years later the entire district was almost completed. Together Sätra metro station and Sätra Centrum form the hub. Just South of the Sätra industrial buildings. Sätra metro station is on the Red Line (''Röda Linjen'') of Stockholm metro.
