''Sky Blossom: Diaries of the Next Greatest Generation'' is a 2020 American documentary film directed by Richard Lui which profiles five students across the United States who are caregivers for their disabled military veteran parents or grandparents. ''Variety'' magazine named the film as a shortlist contender for the 2021 Oscars, and also qualified for that year's awards. The film was the most widely distributed documentary of 2021. It won the "Feature Film" category of the 72nd Christopher Awards. The documentary was released in theaters nationwide for one night only through a community partnership of AMC Theatres and Universal Pictures. The film premiered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts with a drive-in theater event on Veterans Day 2020. The film was later broadcast on MSNBC in May 2021. Richard Lui is an American journalist and news anchor for MSNBC and NBC News. Lui is currently a breaking news anchor for NBC and MSNBC, broadcasting from 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. prior to that role he was a co-host of Early Today, and anchor of MSNBC daytime coverage. Montel Brian Anthony Williams (born July 3, 1956) is an American television host, actor and motivational speaker. Waimea is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hawaii County, Hawaii, United States. The population was 7,028 at the 2000 census and 9,212 at the 2010 census. Bobby Grier (American Football Player)
Robert Grier Sr. (born 1933) is a former football player. He was the first African American football player to break the color barrier of the United States collegiate Sugar Bowl game, in 1956, which is held in New Orleans, Louisiana. Particularly in the deep South, the mid-1950s was a period of strident racial segregation for sports, as well as other areas of life. At the time, Grier's participation as a fullback and linebacker against a segregated all-white team on such a prestigious "stage" was a tremendously significant event.
