Skin (musician)
Deborah Anne Dyer (born 3 August 1967), known mononymously by the stage name Skin, is a British singer, songwriter and electronic music DJ. She is the lead vocalist of British rock band Skunk Anansie, a band often grouped as part of the Britrock movement in the UK and gained attention for her powerful, wide-ranging soprano voice and striking look. In 2015, she joined the judging panel of the Italian version of the talent show ''The X Factor'' for one season, and 2016 was on the cover of the UK lesbian magazine ''Diva''. After releasing new music and touring with Skunk Anansie, in 2018 Skin was featured as one of the cover stars of ''Classic Rock'' magazine's special "She Rocks" issue and was honoured with the Inspirational Artist Award at the Music Week Awards ahead of celebrating 25 years of Skunk Anansie. Order Of The British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a Orders, decorations, and medals of the United Kingdom#Modern honours, knight if male or dame (title), dame if female. There is also the related British Empire Medal, whose recipients are affiliated with, but not members of, the order. ''DIVA'' is a European magazine targeted towards lesbian and bisexual women. The magazine contains features on lifestyle issues affecting young lesbian and bisexual women and allies as well as political developments in the lesbian scene. It also contains articles on travel, music and the latest cinema releases in the sector. The current publisher is Linda Riley. History The monthly magazine was first launched in March 1994 by Millivres Ltd, under the editorship of Frances Williams. Linda Riley became publisher of the magazine in 2016. In September 2021 DIVA announced a new editor, Roxy Bourdillon, who has been with the magazine since 2015. Bourdillon has recruited a dynamic and diverse team to help DIVA truly represent the community it reflects. Yolanda Charles
Yolande Christina Charles is a British musician and teacher. She has played bass guitar with Paul Weller, David A. Stewart, Robbie Williams, Mick Jagger, The Waterboys, Hans Zimmer and from July 2017 through early 2020 she was a member of Squeeze. She also plays with her own band, The Deep Mo. Charles has been playing professionally since 1989. In 1993, she was part of the house band on the short-lived TV show ''Saturday Zoo''.
