Skambankt
Skambankt (''Beaten to a pulp'' or ''beaten up'') is a Norwegian hard rock band from Klepp, just south of Stavanger. They play a mixture of classic rock'n'roll, punk and hardrock in the tradition of bands like Motörhead, AC/DC, Sex Pistols, Ramones and The Stooges. All the lyrics are in Norwegian. History The band was founded in 1994 when a band who was going to play at a concert couldn't make it. They took the challenge to step in for the cancelled act, and wrote nine songs the same day and performed them later that evening. The line-up was Ted Winters on guitar and vocals, Don Fist on bass, and Hanz Panzer on drums. But at that time there was not more than a few live-gigs and some demo recordings. Ten years later, the original Skambankt line-up met at a stag-party where there was a stage with full backline. Some time after midnight, a decision was made that the band should be continued. Hardt Regn
''Hardt Regn'' (''Hard Rain'') is the third studio album by Norwegian hard rock group Skambankt. It was released on January 26, 2009. The first single from the album, "Malin" was released on the band's MySpace account and several digital music stores in October 2008. Background After the release of their 2007 album '' Eliksir'', which scored pretty good reviews and reached No. 8 on the Norwegian album charts, Skambankt toured for most of the year. At the end of the year, the band's frontman Ted Winters joined up with the other band he is a member of, Kaizers Orchestra, to record their new album ''Maskineri''. Skambankt announced that the band would take a break and the members would pursue separate projects until the fall of 2008. Eliksir
''Eliksir'' (''Elixir'') is the second studio album by Norwegian hard rock band Skambankt. The first single "Tyster" received a decent amount of radio airplay, and it entered the Norwegian album charts on 8th place the week after its release. A video was made to promote the record's second single "Dynasti". The "Intro", which is the main riff of "Nok et Offer" played on church bells, was played on the bells of the clocktower of Oslo Rådhus in Oslo and recorded. "Nok et Offer" originally appeared on the ''Skamania'' EP, but was re-recorded for this album. Terje Winterstø Røthing
Terje Winterstø Røthing (born Terje Vinterstø in 1977) is a Norwegian musician, playing guitar in the rock bands Kaizers Orchestra and Skambankt. Røthing joined the band Kaizers Orchestra soon after the band started in 2000. He had participated with various bandmembers' earlier projects, and was a longtime friend of members Janove Ottesen and Geir Zahl. He had participated on every recording of the bands Blod, Snått & Juling and nom. Like Zahl, he had appeared at the Klepp Rockclub, and played funk/rock guitar in the band Zombie Porrkchop and later guitar in the bands Watershed, Ebenezer, The Goo Men, and Johnny and the Sexual Problems. As of 2011, he played the lead guitar in the Norwegian rock band Kaizers Orchestra under the name Terje "Killmaster" Kaizer. Janove Ottesen (born Jan Ove Ottesen, 1975) is a Norwegian musician, born in Stord, Hordaland, Norway. He specializes in vocals, guitar and barrels, and is a leading member of the Norwegian band Kaizers Orchestra. History Youth and first contact with music Bryne, where Ottesen grew up, had few activities available at the time other than football, so he was given a guitar by his grandmother when he was a child. Ottesen and his friend Geir Zahl began writing music in his cellar, recording their music on a cheap tape recorder.
