Siim Kiisler
Siim Valmar Kiisler (born 6 November 1965) is an Estonian politician, a member of the Parempoolsed, former member of Isamaa (Pro Patria and Res Publica Union). Personal life In 1984, he finished his secondary education in Tallinn, and attended the Tallinn University of Technology. Seven years later, he received his degree in automated control systems. He was president of the advisory council of the company ''Glacier Eesti AS'' between 1995 and 2003. Married, he is the father of four boys (Taavi Kalle, Heiki Rein, Mati Kalev, Arti Tanel) and a girl (Mari Helmi). He speaks Estonian, English, Russian, and Finnish. Political activities He was elected to the municipal council of Tallinn in 1999. In the same year, Siim-Valmer Kiisler became the governor of the Kesklinn district in Tallinn for two years. The Andrus Ansip's third cabinet was the Cabinet of Estonia between 6 April 2011 and 26 March 2014. It was a coalition cabinet of the free market liberal Estonian Reform Party (7 portfolios) and conservative Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica (6 portfolios). The cabinet was formed following the 2011 parliamentary election. It left office after the resignation of Andrus Ansip, who had decided not to run in the next elections and wished to enable his successor to lead his party into 2015 election. During the reign of the cabinet Ansip became the longest-serving incumbent head of government in the European Union on 4 December 2013. It was succeeded by the Taavi Rõivas' cabinet on 26 March 2014. Andrus Ansip's Second Cabinet
The Andrus Ansip's second cabinet was the Cabinet of Estonia between 5 April 2007 and 6 April 2011. It was a coalition cabinet of the free market liberal Estonian Reform Party, conservative Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica and Social Democratic Party. As in the dire economic situation the government turned out incapable to solve the problem of required budget cuts the Social Democratic Party left from the coalition on 21 May 2009 and its three ministers were relieved from their posts. Coalition talks with the People's Union of Estonia were derailed on 1 June 2009 by councils of the People's Union and of the Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica. Therefore, from 4 June 2009 the cabinet continued as a minority cabinet with 50 seats out of 101 in the Riigikogu. It was succeeded by Ansip's next cabinet on 6 April 2011 after the 2011 election. Juhan Parts
Juhan Parts (born 27 August 1966) is an Estonian politician who was Prime Minister of Estonia from 2003 to 2005 and Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications from 2007 to 2014. Juhan Parts is a member of Isamaa party. Education Born in Tallinn, Juhan Parts completed Gustav Adolf Grammar School in Tallinn (then ''Tallinn Secondary School No. 1''). Afterwards, he studied law at the University of Tartu in Tartu, Estonia. 2007 Estonian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Estonia on 4 March 2007. The newly elected 101 members of the 11th Riigikogu assembled at Toompea Castle in Tallinn within ten days of the election. It was the world's first nationwide vote where part of the voting was carried out in the form of remote electronic voting via the internet. The election saw the Estonian Reform Party emerged as the largest faction in the Riigikogu with 31 seats. The Estonian Centre Party finished second with 29 seats, whilst the new Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica lost 16 seats compared to the 35 won by the two parties in the 2003 elections. The Social Democrats gained 4 seats, whilst the Greens entered the Riigikogu for the first time with 7 seats and the People's Union lost seven of its 13 seats. Union Of Pro Patria And Res Publica
Isamaa is a Christian-democratic and national-conservative political party in Estonia. It was founded on 4 June 2006 under the name of "Pro Patria and Res Publica Union", by the merger of two conservative parties, Pro Patria Union and Res Publica Party. Up to the 2007 parliamentary elections, the party held 32 seats out of 101 in the Riigikogu and one of Estonia's six seats in the European Parliament. The party is a member of the European People's Party (EPP). The merged party consisted of two separate boards and two party leaders, which was replaced by a unified board and leader in May 2007.
