Shooting At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's 25 Metre Pistol
The Women's 25 metre pistol event at the 2016 Olympic Games took place on 9 August 2016 at the National Shooting Center. The event consisted of three rounds: a qualifier, semifinal and a final. In the qualifier, each shooter fired 60 shots with a pistol at 25 metres distance. Scores for each shot were in increments of 1, with a maximum score of 10. The first 30 shots were in the precision stage, with series of 5 shots being shot within 5 minutes. The second set of 30 shots gave shooters 3 seconds to take each shot. The medals were presented by René Fasel, International Olympic Committee, IOC List of members of the International Olympic Committee, member, Switzerland and Susan Abbott, Council Member of the International Shooting Sport Federation. Lalita Yauhleuskaya
Lalita Yauhleuskaya (born 31 December 1963 in Sokol, Russia) is a professional sporting shooter who won a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney representing Belarus and currently represents Australia in international competition. Yauhleuskaya began competitive shooting at age 13. In 1986, representing the Soviet Union, she finished 5th in the women's 10 metre air pistol at the ISSF World Shooting Championships in Suhl, Germany. Ten years later she was selected in the Belarusian team for the Atlanta Olympics where she placed 8th in the 10m air pistol. Four years later she picked up her bronze medal in the women's 25 metre pistol at the Sydney Olympics. She became an Australian citizen after the Sydney Olympics and represented her new country in Athens and Beijing. Vitalina Igorevna Batsarashkina ( rus, Виталина Игоревна Бацарашкина, , vʲɪtɐˈlʲinə bətsɐˈraʂkʲɪnə; born 1 October 1996) is a Russian sports shooter. She is a two-times Olympic champion and two-times Olympic silver medalist. At the 2020 Summer Olympics she became the first female shooter to win three medals at the same Olympic Games. Tsogbadrakh Mönkhzul ( mn, Цогбадрахын Мөнхзул; born February 28, 1981, in Ulaanbaatar) is a Mongolian sport shooter. She won a gold medal in the women's sport pistol at the 2007 ISSF World Cup series in Bangkok, Thailand, accumulating a score of 783.3 points. Mönkhzul represented Mongolia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in two pistol shooting events, along with her teammate Otryadyn Gündegmaa. Nino Salukvadze ( ka, ნინო სალუქვაძე; born 1 February 1969, in Tbilisi) is a female Georgian sport shooter. She is a nine-time Olympian and has won medals on three occasions.
