Shinedown Songs
Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed by singer Brent Smith in 2001 after the dissolution of Dreve, his previous band. Smith, still under contract with record label Atlantic Records, recruited the band's original lineup of Jasin Todd as guitarist, Brad Stewart on bass, and Barry Kerch on drums. Consistent for the first two album cycles, several lineup changes followed in the late 2000s, eventually stabilizing with Smith and Kerch alongside Zach Myers on guitar and Eric Bass on bass. Zach Myers
Michael Zachary Myers (born November 7, 1983) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter who founded and is currently the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band The Fairwell. He is also the former bassist and current guitarist for the hard rock band Shinedown, and the manager of Memphis pop rock band Sore Eyes, as well as lead singer of Allen, Mack, Myers, & Moore. Career He has stated that, while growing up, his main guitar influences were Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Phil Lynott and Damon Johnson. ''Us and Them'' is the second studio album by American rock band Shinedown, released on October 4, 2005. Recorded in Jacksonville, Florida and Sanford, Florida, the album had three singles, two of which, "Save Me" and "I Dare You," were used as themes for WWE pay-per-view events '' No Mercy 2005'' and ''WrestleMania 22'' respectively. On March 19, 2018 ''Us and Them'' was certified Platinum by the RIAA for selling 1 million units in the United States. Lynyrd Skynyrd ( ) is an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida. The group originally formed as My Backyard in 1964 and comprised Ronnie Van Zant (lead vocalist), Gary Rossington (guitar), Allen Collins (guitar), Larry Junstrom (bass guitar) and Bob Burns (drums). The band spent five years touring small venues under various names and with several lineup changes before deciding on "Lynyrd Skynyrd" in 1969. The band released its first album in 1973, having settled on a lineup that included bassist Leon Wilkeson, keyboardist Billy Powell and guitarist Ed King. "45" is a song by American rock band Shinedown. The song was released on July 13, 2003, on the album '' Leave a Whisper''. Following the album's release, "45" became a popular single. An acoustic cover of "45" was featured on the album's re-release on June 15, 2004. "45" placed twelfth among U.S. Modern Rock and third among U.S. Mainstream Rock songs after its release. "Fly from the Inside" is the debut single of the American rock band, Shinedown, off of the album '' Leave a Whisper''. The song performed fairly well on the charts, reaching number five on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, the band's first hit single, and is still a very popular song that remains in the setlist at concerts. Background During a May 2004 interview with KNAC.com, Brent Smith explained the song's meaning: It’s about having an unattainable dream that maybe the people around you are telling you that you can’t accomplish and you’re never going to succeed at it, and maybe they’re being that way towards you because they didn’t go after THEIR dreams.
