Seppo Telenius
Seppo Sakari Telenius (born 16 February 1954, in Porvoo, Finland) is a Finnish writer and historian who lives in Harjavalta. He studied political history, sociology, social history, aesthetics and economic history at the University of Helsinki (Master of Social Sciences 1981, Licentiate in Social Sciences 1988). His varied body of works includes novels, short stories, poems, local history books as well as essays. In many writings Seppo Telenius deals with topics related to human beings' relationship with themselves and the world, borders between reality and illusion, and the problem of loving. He has admired persons like Mary Magdalene, Hypatia, James P. Cannon and Juliet Mitchell. Seppo Ruohonen
Seppo Ruohonen (25 April 1946 — 1 March 2020) was a Finnish operatic tenor and voice pedagog. Education Ruohonen trained initially under Lea Piltti, and later continued in Vienna at the Vienna State Opera school and the ''Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst'' (now the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he obtained three separate degrees (opera, lied and oratorio, and voice), all with the highest available grade. Career Ruohonen's professional debut came in Turku in 1969, singing Don José's role in '' Carmen''. He was afterwards signed by the Finnish National Opera, where he performed a total of 23 roles, in nearly 250 performances. From 1978 to 1994 he was attached to Oper Frankfurt. Seppo Evwaraye
Seppo Evwaraye (born June 1, 1982) is a Finnish former offensive guard in American football and former general manager and interim head coach of Finnish team Wasa Royals of Maple league. Seppo was first signed by Carolina Panthers as a free agent in 2006, and also played for Minnesota Vikings as an international practice squad member. Career Playing career Evwaraye started playing football in his home city of Vaasa, Finland. During his year as an exchange student in Nebraska, Evwaraye received an offer to play for University of Nebraska. He redshirted as a freshman. Seppo Lehto
Seppo Lehto (born 6 September 1962 in Kuru) is a Finnish nationalist, currently living in Tampere. The main theme of his activism is the return of Finnish territories ceded to the Soviet Union in World War II. He also claims to lead several organizations. He has also drawn Mohammed caricatures. Lehto has hosted a podcast called ''Patrioottiradio'', and become well known for creating numerous blogs to disparage politicians and members of racial, ethnic and religious minorities. On 30 May 2008, the Tampere District Court sentenced Lehto to two years and five months imprisonment. Lehto was charged with nine counts of gross defamation, inciting ethnic hatred and religious blasphemy against Islam. ''Salatut elämät'' ("Secret Lives", literally "Concealed Lives") is a Finnish television soap opera that premiered on MTV3 on 25 January 1999. The series' storylines follow the daily lives of several families who live in the same apartment block in Helsinki. The series primarily centres on the residents of Pihlajakatu and its neighbouring areas. Seppo Harjanne
Seppo Harjanne (born 20 February 1948) is a Finnish former rally co-driver. He is best known for co-driving for Timo Salonen from 1979 to 1988 and for Tommi Mäkinen from 1990 to 1997. With Salonen, Harjanne took ten World Rally Championship victories for the factory teams of Datsun, Peugeot and Mazda, and the 1985 drivers' world championship title in a Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 E2. With Mäkinen, competing mainly for the Team Mitsubishi Ralliart, he won ten more WRC events along with the 1996 and 1997 drivers' titles in a Lancer Evolution. Harjanne retired after the 1997 season and Mäkinen went on to take two more titles with Risto Mannisenmäki. Seppo Räty
Seppo Henrik Räty (born 27 April 1962) is a retired Finnish track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He was a World Champion, having won gold in 1987. He was also an Olympic medalist (silver in 1992, bronze in 1988 and 1996). He was nicknamed ''Tohmajärven karhu'' ("The Bear of Tohmajärvi") and ''Tohmajärven tykki'' ("The Cannon of Tohmajärvi"). His personal best throw of 96.96 m, set in 1991, was one of his two world records with the "new javelin" at the time, however this throw was made using a "Nemeth" javelin that was banned by the IAAF later that year. All records made using this javelin were retrospectively deleted as from 20.9.1991 but remain ratified world records recognised by the IAAF. Seppo Sairanen (born 23 March 1952) is a Finnish football manager and a former football goalkeeper. He played eight seasons and 150 matches in the Finnish premier division Mestaruussarja for Ässät, Pyrkivä, Ilves and PPT. Seppo Antero Simola (27 July 1936 in Somero - 9 March 2003) was a Finnish shot putter, who represented Turun Riento, weighing in at 128 kg and standing 191 cm tall. He competed in the men's shot put at the 1972 Summer Olympics.
