The Seoul Jazz Festival ( ko, 서울재즈페스티벌) is an annual jazz festival which takes place in the city of Seoul, South Korea. The festival spans across two or three days. Famous jazz artists from all around the world gather in Seoul every May to perform and enjoy jazz music with crowd. The year of 2016 was the festival's 10th anniversary. Steve Swallow (born October 4, 1940) is an American jazz bassist and composer, known for his collaborations with Jimmy Giuffre, Gary Burton, and Carla Bley. He was one of the first jazz double bassists to switch entirely to electric bass guitar. Biography Born in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, United States, Swallow studied piano and trumpet, as a child, before turning to the double bass at age 14. While attending a prep school, he began trying his hand in jazz improvisation. He is the leader of the Pat Metheny Group and is also involved in duets, solo works, and other side projects. Matt Bianco are a British band that were formed in 1983. They are mainly known for their success in the mid-1980s and their jazz, Latin-flavoured music. The group's name suggests that Matt Bianco is a person, often assumed to be an alias for the main member and front man Mark Reilly. D'Sound (stylized as d'sound) is a Norwegian neo soul band based in Oslo, Norway.
