''Sentro Balita'' () is the afternoon newscast of PTV. Originally anchored by Former ''Teledyaryo'' and '' News @ 6'' presenter Angelique Lazo and ''PTV News'' holdover Alex Santos, it premiered on July 10, 2017, replacing ''PTV News''. from 1:00 to 2:00 PM PST as part of programming changes brought about by the relaunch of PTV on June 28, 2017. Alexander Hidalgo Santos (born June 10, 1970), professionally known as Alex Santos, is a Filipino field reporter who is currently hosting for Net 25, news director for DWIZ, and a former newscaster and television host for ABS-CBN and DZMM. Background Education Santos graduated elementary and high school from Holy Cross of Davao College, a private, Catholic institution in Davao City. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ateneo de Davao University. ''PTV Sports'' is a Philippine sports television newscast aired on People's Television Network Channel 4 airing from Mondays to Fridays at 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ( UTC +8). History It was first aired on April 17, 2006, as Teledyaryo Sports (renamed as NBN Sports from 2008 until it returned to its original name in early August 2010), and was initially hosted by Snow Badua together with Jasmin Romero and Saleema Refran as his co-hosts.
