Science International
''Science International'', later retitled ''What Will They Think of Next!'', is a Canadian television series produced by the Global Television Network from 1976 to 1979. Each episode featured approximately 20 short segments on scientific developments and trivia, narrated by Joseph Campanella and Tiiu Leek for its initial seasons. Kerrie Keane replaced Leek later in the series run. The hosts also appeared on camera, usually with chromakey effects behind them such as animation. The format of the series alternated between filmed footage of new inventions and developments and limited-animation segments usually focusing on more off-beat developments. After the show was retitled for its second and third seasons, Campanella proclaimed at the end of the opening credits that the reports originated from the "Research Unit of Science International." Michael Spivak
Michael David Spivak (25 May 19401 October 2020)Biographical sketch in Notices of the AMS', Vol. 32, 1985, p. 576. was an American mathematician specializing in differential geometry, an expositor of mathematics, and the founder of Publish-or-Perish Press. Spivak was the author of the five-volume ''A Comprehensive Introduction to Differential Geometry''. Biography Spivak was born in Queens, New York. He received an A.B. from Harvard University in 1960, while in 1964 he received a Ph.D. from Princeton University under the supervision of John Milnor, with thesis ''On Spaces Satisfying Poincaré Duality''. In 1985 Spivak received the Leroy P. Steele Prize. Spivak lectured on elementary physics. Joseph Anthony Campanella (November 21, 1924 – May 16, 2018) was an American character actor. He appeared in more than 200 television and film roles from the early 1950s to 2009. Campanella was best remembered for his roles as Joe Turino on ''Guiding Light'' from 1959 to 1962, Lew Wickersham on the detective series ''Mannix'' from 1967 to 1968, Brian Darrell on the legal drama '' The Bold Ones: The Lawyers'' from 1969 to 1972, Harper Deveraux on the soap opera ''Days of Our Lives'' from 1987 to 1992, ''Science International'' from 1976 to 1979, and his recurring role as Jonathan Young on '' The Bold and the Beautiful'' from 1996 to 2005. Kerrie Keane is a Canadian actress. She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1970. Chroma key compositing, or chroma keying, is a visual-effects and post-production technique for compositing (layering) two images or video streams together based on colour hues ( chroma range).
