Saratov Conservatory
Saratov Conservatory is a music conservatory in Russia. The conservatory in Saratov, was founded in 1912, and was the first provincial conservatory to be founded in Russia, after St Petersburg Conservatory and Moscow Conservatory. Saratov was, at the time, Russia's third city. The main building of the conservatory had been built in 1902 by architect Alexander Yulyevich Yagn, and originally it housed a music school. Before the opening of the conservatory in 1912, the building was reconstructed by the architect Semyon Akimovich Kallistratov. Mikhail Bukinik
Mykhailo Yevsiyovych Bukinik ( uk, Михайло Євсійович Букінік) (1872–1947) was a Ukrainian cellist, composer, music educator and music critic of classical music. His four concert études for the solo cello were compulsory works at the prestigious International Cello Competition in Markneukirchen in May 2005. Biography Bukinik was born in 1872, in Dubno in the area of Rivne, which is in today's Ukraine (about 400 km west of Kyiv). Four of his family members, including his brother Isaac (violinist, teacher, music critic) and his two daughters decided that music would be their profession. From 1885 to 1890 Bukinik attended the music school in Kharkiv, where he was also a member of the Society for Russian Music. Saratov (, ; rus, Сара́тов, a=Ru-Saratov.ogg, p=sɐˈratəf) is the largest city and administrative center of Saratov Oblast, Russia, and a major port on the Volga River upstream (north) of Volgograd. The Royal Carillon School "Jef Denyn" ( nl, Koninklijke Beiaardschool "Jef Denyn"; informally also the Mechelen carillon school) is a music school in Mechelen, Belgium, that specializes in the carillon. It is the first and largest carillon school in the world. Franciszek Zachara
Franciszek Zachara (''b'' Tarnów, Austrian Poland (now Poland), 10 December 1898; ''d'' Tallahassee, Florida, United States, 2 February 1966) was a Polish pianist and composer who concertized extensively throughout Europe in the years leading up to 1928. He was a professor of piano at a Polish conservatory from 1922–1928, and two American colleges from around this time until his death in 1966. Zachara composed well over 150 works, including many works for piano solo, a piano concerto, a symphony, several works for band, and various chamber pieces. Kombinaciya (Russian: Комбинация) is a Russian female pop band. The name means "combination," but the Russian word is a double entendre which also refers to a woman's frilly slip, and at the group's 1988 performance in Moscow they were forced to perform under a different name because "Kombinaciya" was considered too suggestive a band title.
