Sante Bentivoglio
Sante I Bentivoglio (1426–June 24, 1462) was an Italian nobleman who ruled as tyrant or de facto prince of Bologna from 1445 to 1462. Officially the son of a poor blacksmith, he worked as a youth in the wool industry in Florence under another name, until he was alleged to be a natural son of Ercole Bentivoglio. He was educated at Florence in the court of Cosimo de' Medici the Elder and possessed a vast culture. Through his putative noble father, Sante can pretend to be a cousin of Annibale I Bentivoglio, at the time ruler of Bologna (also of dubious paternity). When Annibale was killed in an ambuscade by a rival family, the people of Bologna gave him the government of their city with the title of '' Gonfaloniere di Giustizia''. He was also named as sole tutor of Annibale's son, Giovanni. The event transformed Sante from a Florentine popolano into the virtual prince of Bologna. Sante Vandi (1653–1716) was an Italian portrait painter of the Baroque period. He was a pupil of Carlo Cignani. He is also known as ''Santino da' Ritratti''. Sante De Sanctis (7 February 1862 – 20 February 1935) was an Italian physician, psychologist, and psychiatrist. He is considered one of the founders of the Italian psychology and pediatric psychiatry. Life Sante De Sanctis was born on 7 February 1862 in Parrano, where his family had resided since the 16th century. He graduated in medicine at La Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis on aphasia in 1886. He began working in 1891 at the Roman laboratory of pathological anatomy of Santa Maria della Pietà psychiatric hospital, directed by Giovanni Mingazzini. In those years he went to Zurich and Paris to complete his psychiatric studies. Sante Poromaa Roshi is a Zen Buddhist priest and teacher, in the lineage of Harada-Yasutani. He was born in 1958 in Kiruna, Sweden, and commenced his Zen training in the early eighties, as a student of Roshi Philip Kapleau. Sante Monachesi (1910–1991), was an Italian painter belonging to the modern movement of the ''Scuola romana (Roman School)'' and founder in 1932 of the ''Movimento Futurista nelle Marche (Futurist Movement of Marche)''. Life and career Monachesi studied at the ''Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia'' (Experimental film centre or Italian National film school) in Rome. Sante Lombardo (1504–1560) was an Italian architect. Biography He was born in Venice, the son of Tullio Lombardo. It is mentioned for the first time in sources in 1534, when he was appointed ''protomastro'' of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice (under the supervision of his father), for which he provided the internal and external decoration. In 1535 he received a contract for an altar in the church of San Felice; he probably contributed to the latter's reconstruction in 1551–1556. Sante Geronimo Caserio
Sante Geronimo Caserio (; 8 September 187316 August 1894) was an Italian anarchist and the assassin of Marie François Sadi Carnot, President of the French Third Republic. Caserio was born in Motta Visconti, Lombardy. On 24 June 1894, he fatally stabbed President Carnot after a banquet, to avenge the executions of anarchist bombers Auguste Vaillant and Émile Henry. Biography Sante Caserio was a Lombardy-born son of a peasant family, who had many brothers and sisters. His father was a boatman who died of pellagra, at the time a common disease among farmers whose poor diet was often almost exclusively corn. At ten years old, Sante Caserio left the family home and went to Milan, where he got a job as an apprentice baker and had his first contacts with anarchists. Sante Kimes
Sante Kimes (born Sante Singhrs; July 24, 1934 – May 19, 2014) was an American criminal who was convicted of two murders, as well as robbery, forgery, violation of anti-slavery laws, and numerous other crimes. Many of these crimes were committed with the assistance of her son, Kenny Kimes. They were tried and convicted together for the murder of Irene Silverman, along with 117 other charges. Kenny made a plea deal in the murder of David Kazdin, pleading guilty and agreeing to testify against his mother in her trial for Kazdin's murder in return for her not facing a death sentence. Sante Kimes was subsequently convicted of that murder. The pair were also suspected but never charged in a third murder in the Bahamas, to which Kenny Kimes confessed. Sante Graziani (March 11, 1920 – March 15, 2005) was an American artist and art educator. He was known for his murals, which adorned many public buildings. Education Graziani was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents who had immigrated from Tuscany. He was educated at the Cleveland Institute of Art and later at Yale University. He met with success early in his career, winning the Pulitzer traveling scholarship in Art at the age of 22. Career Soon after military service in World War II, he began a career as an art educator. He taught at Yale University School of Art from 1946 to 1951. His students at that time included Claes Oldenburg. From 1951 to 1981, Graziani was at the School of the Worcester Art Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he taught and was also Dean.
