Santino Di Matteo
Santino Di Matteo (born 7 December 1954), also known as ''Mezzanasca'', is an Italian former member of the Sicilian Mafia from the town of Altofonte in the province of Palermo, Sicily, Italy. Di Matteo took part in the killing of Antimafia judge Giovanni Falcone on 23 May 1992, near Capaci and also the businessman Ignazio Salvo's killing. After his arrest on 4 June 1993, he became the first of Falcone's assassins to become a government witness – a ''pentito''. The Sicilian Mafia, also simply known as the Mafia and frequently referred to as Cosa nostra (, ; "our thing") by its members, is an Italian Mafia-terrorist-type organized crime syndicate and criminal society originating in the region of Sicily and dating to at least the 19th century. Benedetto Capizzi
Benedetto Capizzi (Palermo, June 28, 1944) is an Italian mobster and a boss of the Sicilian Mafia, from the Villagrazia area in Palermo. He was nominated to be the head of the new Sicilian Mafia Commission On December 16, 2008, Capizzi was among 94 Mafiosi arrested in "Operation Perseus" (Perseo in Italian; after the Greek mythological hero Perseus who beheaded Medusa). The Corleonesi Mafia clan was a faction within the Corleone family of the Sicilian Mafia, formed in the 1970s.
